Splashing her face with water as soon as she stumbled out of bed, Y/N stared groggily at her reflection. Another night of restless sleep, spent reflecting on what to do and what to say. Of how, and when to escape the grip of the League.
The young woman dabbed her face dry with a washcloth. She would do it tonight. Or, at least she would try. Hypothetically, it would be smartest to opt-out early into the ordeal.
But that might not be smart. Y/N was still unsure if she could trust Hawks. If trading her freedom from Shigaraki meant him revealing her secret, was she sure that Hawks would want anything to do with her?
If he did not, that would mean she would be alone again.
She would be even more vulnerable than when he had found her. Her ability would be revealed, and she would have no protection for herself and her mother. Shrouding herself in secrecy was what had gotten her by for the last decade, and now she was afraid of the repercussions. There was a choice she had to make. It had to be the right one, for she couldn't handle both sides wanting nothing to do with her.
This wasn't as easy as she had thought. She was already a liar.

"Y/N!" Midoriya greeted as soon as the young woman walked into Tokoyami's apartment. Only the boys were there, all of them eager to get started with the day they had planned the night before.
The rest of them followed with a string of hellos. She noted that some of them seemed a little more flustered than others.
Y/N knew she looked a lot better than yesterday. She had applied makeup and styled her hair. She had even put on her best outfit, which only consisted of a low-cut blouse, a pair of boots, and her favorite pair skin-tight jeans. She didn't have much, but it was enough to make her feel confident.
For the night ahead, it was best to make herself presentable. A flirtatious gesture towards Hawks, feeling childish enough to make an impression. To impress him, the number two hero. And to top off the night, to make herself irresistible to Dabi. Whatever that entailed, she was nervous to see him again. She had already decided that she wouldn't try and resist his advances.
Y/N didn't exactly know what she had planned with the UA students, but she knew they all wanted to take a break from training and release their anger in a different way--through a video game in hopes to win prizes. They also deserved a home-made meal, as they had complained about the cafeteria food in their dorms.
The task was good for her. It really was, or at least she hoped and maybe prayed. No matter what, it would take her mind off the danger that lurked in the shadows, only coming out at night like promised.
"Good morning." She grinned, trying her best to mask her worry, and thoroughly succeeding until it refashioned reality.
"How are you doing?" Tokoyami asked. "We're making coffee if you'd like some."
"That would be great." She thanked. "But aren't you all a little too young to be chugging down caffeine?"
"We're built different." Bakugou rolled his eyes, rounding the kitchen counter and handing her a mug.
Y/N shook her head in response, side-eyeing the grumpy blonde as he slumped back into the sofa. She had no idea what he meant by that, and it did not seem like he was going to elaborate.
Instead, she questioned. "Is it okay with you guys if Hawks tags along?"
Tokoyami lifted his head. "Really?"
Y/N took a sip of her coffee, wincing as the steaming liquid burned across her tongue. "Yeah, I invited him. He said it was his day off."
"I think that would be cool!" Kirishima smiled brightly. "Right, Tokoyami?"
