It's been three days already ever since I got fired in XXX company. I've been working there for one and a half years. Some employees thought I would have stayed there forever because I was basically the only assistant Mrs. William apparently ever liked to work with.

Obviously, that wasn't the case. Otherwise she wouldn't have fired me.

I sighed for the thousandth time today as I opened the front door to my apartment and pushed it open with my body weight.

Thalia and Rosie must be preparing dinner now because as soon as I walked inside, I could smell the strong aroma of their famous curry.

"Oh, you're home! Please set the table, food is about to be ready," came from Thalia and I nodded my head.

I set my bag and folders down on the couch and took off my blazer and threw it over my bag, then headed to the kitchen cupboards to get plates and silverware.

Rosie set their famous curry in the middle of the table while Thalia came behind with the rice cooker. Each of us took turns to get their plate filled and afterwards we all sat down and started to converse while we ate.

"So how was today's luck?" Asked Rosie and put a mouthful of rice in her mouth. Thalia nodded her head eagerly and drank her cup of water before proceeding to eat.

I only shook my head in dismay and ate a spoonful of curry with rice. They both looked disappointed, but not as disappointed as I did.

"I'm never gonna find the perfect job again," I sighed and let my fork and spoon go and they clanked against the plate.

My body pushed itself away from the dining table and headed to the bathroom to get ready for the night.

There is no way for me to find the same job again. And even though there are still many possibilities for me out there, I don't want to be anything other than an assistant.

Because that's what I can do and am the best at. I'm very organized, writing every little detail down, so I never forget, keep my schedules up to date and I always proofread in case there are any mistakes in the files.

Another sigh escaped my lips as I slumped against the bathtub and closed my eyes. I rubbed my temples a bit and then looked up at the ceiling again.

Suddenly the stranger popped in my head and I remembered that he wore a business suit.

That means he must work at a company, right?

"Cami? You alright in there?" I snapped out of my thoughts and answered a quick 'yeah' before stepping out of the bathtub and dried myself real quick.

Thalia and Rosie always get worried when I stay in the bathroom for way too long in fear I do something stupid. But I can assure you, I haven't done any of those for five months now. I'm not gonna let myself slip again.

I stared at the scars against my left forearm and looked away. I pulled the sleeves of my nightgown down and blow dried my hair.

By the time I got out of the bathroom, the plates of Thalia and Rosie were already cleaned and put away while they have wrapped mine up and left it on the dining table.

"Cami, can you come here for a second," I headed to the living room to see them both seated with an excited smile. I was confused but nonetheless took a seat between them, "what's this about? Why are you both all smiley now?"

They both looked at each other for another second before Rosie squealed and wrapped her arms tightly around me, "woah, okay, this is getting kinda weird now. Care to explain what is getting you guys so freaked out about?"
