All sat in their fanciful chairs and drinking juice brought to them by the fairies of Annwvn, Ana waited for everyone to get comfortable.
"Now it's time to learn about the greatest enemy on Earth right now, and a former Rider of Annwvn."
"Oh my fucking...Janet you mean, she was one of...?" Kayla was dumbfounded for once.
"Yes my dear she was one of us, I had her cast out of Annwvn for all eternity."
"To help in the destruction of planet earth. Nice, yeah, so why haven't you just killed her, I'm sure you can." Kayla continued.
"I am unfortunately trapped in Annwvn for all eternity. I made the mistake in not putting an end to her but I couldn't, I should have."
"Why didn't you?" Kayla was persistent.
"Could you kill your own granddaughter? I couldn't." Ana looked Kayla in the eyes then switched to Polly's gaze, Polly looked away, this cut deep.
Ana continued. "Her mother Morrigan originally named her Jana which means 'God is Gracious'. But she took the name Janet when she was expelled from here."
"I prefer the name Jana." Kayla quipped.
"God wasn't very gracious to let her come to earth and begin destroying it. What with the Covid-19 virus..." Polly was interrupted.
"It was my Jana who set the virus into affect."
"Wait, what, how?!" Polly asked.
"She is powerful."
"No shit." Tee-jay added.
"All the powers you possess, in one way or another she has the capabilities you do and more. She spread the disease and has sat back laughing at the world as they all blame each other. She was the one to set oblivion into motion. The birds, trees, plants you control girl, well she can manipulate them. She could turn them against you in an instant and she has shown just enough of her powers to convince what's left of humankind she's their savior and you all are the cause."
"Some people are dumb sacks of shit." Kayla glared intensely.
Josephine put an arm on Kayla's shoulder. "Remember there are still good people around, do right by them, not wrong by the bad ones. It eats you up inside like a tumour, rots you from within, I know. Going all those years without being able to tell my own daughter what was happening for fear of her abandoning her path in life. Treating her like she was mad because this is what I was meant to do. You see the woman looking at us all Ana?"
"Yeah?" Kayla replied confused.
"I wanted to rip her throat out and burn this place to the ground. I wanted to throw her body into the Fountain and piss in it, do you know why I didn't?"
"I don't Josephine."
"I could foresee the outcome, if I'd done that I'd have lost everything. This way I have Polly with me for eternity."
Kayla nodded then turned to Ana. "And what of Morrigan now?"
"She is here, with her son my grandson Lupin, the Bearer of Kindness. She wants no part in Jana's destruction but gives us her blessing. One day Lupin will grow to be strong and worthy, to bear his own children. Our line will live on without my poor unfortunate granddaughter."
"I know you're the boss and everything now but I don't give a shit about Janey, I want to see her put down then rotting in the ground for grub feed."
"I'm sure of that Kayla so maybe it's time to keep quiet and use your mind instead of your mouth, I will tell you everything you need to know, then it's up to you."
Kayla raised her hands in defeat and kept quiet.
"Individually she's stronger than any of you, that's how she's picked off the others of our kind. We know that she can take control of a person's mind too so even a multiple attack could be dangerous if she's given time to recuperate and possess someone else. I possess this power too and I know how it can be stifled. Many years ago I was in Wales, the year was 589AD and I was Elfael. I had been spotted there many years before and it had been named the Elf of the Hills in my honor. I was worshipped there and in parts of Ireland, unfortunately not everyone saw me as a good omen. Sacrifices were made in my name but one man who had to sacrifice his daughter for the next season's harvest was related to a Druid who called me forth at the standing stone of Menhir, a gate to Annwvn. I came forth and found myself unable to move. The Druid had managed to stifle my abilities but his wretched relation had come with him, hiding in a clearing nearby. I felt pity for what he'd been through but his thoughts like his fragrance filled my mind. He knew exactly what kind of spell had been put on me. I was able to unravel it and make my escape back to Annwvn."
"You didn't kill them?" Kayla asked.
"No Druids are a life force to other worlds. I left him with an incantation, one that would see the spell and it's use forgotten in the passage of time. Now I must pass it on to you Polly Asiri."
"Time to step up blackbird." Dawed told her.
Polly exhaled deeply and nodded
