Celebrations

Everyone that had stayed behind at the Manor was a nervous wreck.  Well, almost everyone.  Pansy was on the brink of tears every time someone tried to talk to her, Hermoine was pacing the floor, almost wearing a patch out of the carpet, Ron was biting his nails to the point where Blaise had to keep slapping his hands away from his mouth.  Blaise was drinking his whiskey like it was a soda, Professor Snape was gripping the armrests with his hands so tight, his knuckles were white.  Only Professor Dumbledore and Draco were calm.  Draco, because he had faith in his lover, and Dumbledore because it was as if he already knew what was coming.

They heard the floo network come to life, and they all stopped what they were doing and stood up at the same time.  Narcissa entered first.  When they saw her face, they were horrified.  She was crying hysterically.  Draco was the first to reach her.  "Mother! Mother, what happened?", he demanded.  She looked at her son, and flung her arms around him.

Sobbing into his neck, she just wanted to be held.  She paid their questions no mind, she wanted Lucius to tell them the good news.  She was maybe being a bit cruel, but it was his moment, and she wasn't about to take that away from him.  Just then, the floo sounded again, and their mouths dropped open when they saw, not only Harry, but Lucius enter the room.  Draco squeezed his mother, and let her go, running to Harry.  Harry opened his arms to his mate, and held on for dear life.

"Merlin, you scared me Mother!, said Draco through his tears, still holding onto Harry.  "When you came out crying, we all thought the worst".  Everyone was nodding at his words, because they had thought that Harry had lost the case, even when he said he would win.  Even when he was the Alpha, they had doubted him.  Snape rushed to his friend, and gave him a bear hug.  Grateful that he was indeed now a free man, they asked for a full count of what had happened.

Harry was too busy kissing his mate to pay them any mind.  His head was  pounding, and if kisses were going to stop the ache, then he would keep on with it.  He wasn't going to stop for anyone.  Touching Draco again was what mattered.  What made him complete.  What made the terrible ache in his head move to the background.  A cough jarred them apart, and Draco had the good grace to stop and hug Harry once more.  Turning to them he said he wasn't going to apologize for kissing Harry, he knew that he needed it.  They all laughed at him, but the laughter was done with love.  Harry then suggested they all sit outside and enjoy the sunshine, with a glass of champagne, and Lucius would tell them what happened.  They agreed.

Even if they couldn't, Draco could sense that something was wrong with Harry.  He raised a sexy brow to the man that he had missed all day and asked him [Hal, something's wrong.  Tell me].  Harry looked at him with puppy dog eyes, and Draco's heart melted.  [Headache.  A bad one.  Do you or Snape perhaps have a potion for me].  Draco squeezed his hand, and asked Snape the same thing.  Snape rose out of his chair, and went to fetch one.  Thanking him, he popped the cork, and downed the potion in one go.  Receiving stares from everyone, he just stated that his head was pounding.

"It was probably that Umbridge bitch", said Lucius, to which Harry laughed out loud, already feeling loads better.

"Umbridge?  What the bloody hell was she doing at the trial?" asked Ron.  He hated the woman just as much as Harry.  "She was the prosecution, believe it or not", replied the free man.  "She had absolutely no clue that Harry was defence, convinced she was going to win.  Oh my god, the look on her face when I showed my arm to the court", he sniggered.

Harry felt a rush of pride and love for the man that was Lucius.  He knew he had changed, and he was thankful.   They took it in turns to relay what had happened, and how her own line of prosecution had been her ultimate downfall.  They laughed and clapped and even had shock on their faces when Narcissa said that the decision was unanimous.  Even Fudge didn't stand a chance when it had come to the final word.  Draco looked at Harry with such pride, and knew that some form of submission had happened at the courtroom.  And so he decided he would ask about it.

When their champagne had arrived, Lucius stood with a full glass, and raised a toast to Harry.  Not as the Alpha, but as Harry.  The man who had taken on his case, the man who had saved his future.  The man who had given him his freedom and his family back.  "To Harry", they all chided.  Harry hated being the center of attention.  So he stood up and made his own toast.  "To Lucius, and for believing in me", he stated.  Downing his glass of champagne, happy that his headache was practically gone, he looked longingly at his lover.  Gods, he had missed him.

Everyone was caught up in the moment.  Narcissa was so happy, she couldn't stop talking about how brilliant Harry was as a lawyer.  Hermoine was a bit put out, because none of their research had been used, Snape was just happy to have his best friend back.  Dumbledore was pleased that Harry had accomplished what had been handed to him without a choice.  Harry was just calm that he was back home and in the arms of his beautiful soul mate.  He sensed that Draco wanted to ask something, and so he looked at him and raised that famous brow.

"What?", he asked Draco.

Draco took Harry's hand in his, and touched his cheek.  "Tell me about the submission, I want to hear everything", he answered.  Harry just smiled at the snobbish comment coming from Draco.  He knew that Draco got off when anyone submitted to him, but that was not Harry's thing.  He would indulge him later in the privacy of their room, but not when others were around.  And so he told him that.  [Later Boo].  [Mmmm, kay], came the reply.  They both loved the fact that they could communicate silently.  It was naughty, as well as necessary.

The celebrations carried on well into the night, and when Dumbledore and Snape announced that it was time to leave, they only noticed the time.  It was well past midnight.  Having eaten snacks, and drank champagne since they got back, everyone was tired.  Ron and Hermoine also left and said they would see them again, and shortly after that the two Professors left for Hogwarts.  Lucius and Narcissa said their goodbyes, once again thanking Harry for his fierce belief in them.  He waved his hand, and said it was his pleasure.

Pansy and Blaise were too tired to travel, and so they were put up in spare rooms.  Sitting outside, with just the night sounds around them, Harry pulled Draco onto his lap to straddle him.  "I missed you today Boo, I thought I was going to lose my mind.  My head wanted to burst, and it wasn't because of the trial, it was because I had to feel you.  I never want a day without you, ever.  Can you understand that.  Do you even know how much I love you?", he asked, placing his hands on Draco's cheeks.

Draco felt the heat from Harry's hands.  Yes, he knew how much Harry loved him.  If it were possible, he loved him more, but he knew that their love for each other was equal.  "Yes, I know Harry, my love for you is just as deep.  I missed you too, and hated the fact that I couldn't go with you today.  Don't ever leave me again Harry", he pleaded.  Running his hands through Harry's hair, he was pulled down into a kiss.  Eventually.  They had been waiting all day for this.

Human touch was so important.  Even more so with soul mates.  They needed it.  It was imperative to their bond.  Feeling the heat and the want through their kiss, they both started panting harshly, and needed to feel each other's nakedness immediately.  Standing up, with Draco still on his lap, he took Draco's legs and wrapped them around his waist.  Walking to their room, they decided to go and celebrate their love in their room.  In their King size bed, where they could love and enjoy each other endlessly.
