23. The City & The Plan

"Bye Mitsuki!" I yelled and he waved at me.

I started to sprint towards home, happy that we finally had a plan. Soon I got to the front door and I opened it. I walked inside and saw Himawari pouting while my mother was cleaning the kitchen.

"What's wrong?" I asked Himawari, who was clearly upset.

"Mom won't let me go outside! She says it's not safe! But she let you go out!" She whined loudly.

I heard Mom sigh loudly and she put down her handkerchief.

"I only let Boruto go because he is a shinobi and he was with his team, right Boruto?" Mom's gaze went to me.

I nodded quickly. Himawari just groaned and went to the couch to watch some t.v. I went up to my room to get ready for the plan. I quickly locked my door and went under my bed in search of the loose floorboard which hid all of my Dawn Fox stuff. After I found it I grabbed everything out of it. My black anbu pants, golden colored hoodie, black combat boots, and of course my mask.

"Ok, what time is it?" I asked myself.

I looked up at the clock which showed it to be around 5 PM. I sighed. I don't really need this stuff right now. I thought while looking at my attire. Well I have nothing else to do. Might as well get ready. I shoved the hoodie and on me and I pulled the black pants on me. I left the mask on my pillow, waiting for the right time to put it on.

"My katana.." I muttered after realizing that I dropped it during my fight with Shato.

I mentally swore at myself. I put the mask on and put on the hood. I was about to jump out of the window when a hawk flew right at me. I ducked and the bird glided right in.

"Great. I now have a bird in my room!" I groaned.

In further inspection of the raven I figured out that it had a message. I took the small scroll which was tied to its leg off. The raven flew out of my room immediately. I gently unfurled the scroll and read,

Hey Boruto,

Plans have changed, we're going NOW. Mitsuki already knows this. We are doing this now because I'm pretty sure that Shato will come back during the night. Your mom might be there and she may be on high alert, but Shato will be ready. So we best go now, so you're there at night to protect your sister. I also wanted to say that you can not inform your father of our plan. I want to show them that we are not just kids, and we can deal with this all by ourselves.

-Sarada

P.S. Make sure to stock yourself up with weapons before coming to Training Ground 7, but come there immediately!

My eyes widened at the message. Himawari getting hurt always seemed impossible with Mom here, but it is better to have 2 people protect her. I also agreed with Sarada on not telling my father about our plan. I also wanted to show the old man, old man Kakashi, and all of the shinobi in the village that Dusk Wolf and Dawn Fox are not just kids. Their shinobi. I made a quick shadow clone that wore my regular clothes, then I moved on to my other problem. I looked around my room for a substitute for my katana. I found a kunai in my bedside drawer, which is to say the least is disappointing. I put it in the giant pocket I had in my hoodie and launched out of the window. I crouched down while running.

I did my last jump and landed in the training ground.

"Boruto!" I swiveled around to see Sarada, or Dusk Wolf really.

I also saw Mitsuki who was wearing a basic mask with light turquoise coloring it.

"Mitsuki, you look good!" I said smiling.
