Me and Kai walked out with our plates in our hands.
                          
"You can go get your plate Damon."
                          
"Yes!" He said and ran towards the kitchen.
                          
Me and Kai chuckled as we sat down.
                          
"So where would you want to go first? And would we stay in one spot or would we travel? Ah I love traveling!"
                          
He kissed me.
                          
"Yes I know you do, Car. We will go wherever you want to go, I'm just here to help make memories."
                          
Just then everyone walked through the door.
                          
"Hey Carter and Kai- Kai?!" Caroline said.
                          
"You fixed him! When?"
                          
"Last night." I said with a chuckle.
                          
"Oh wow." Bonnie said.
                          
Everyone sat down and we all laughed and talked.
                          
"When should we leave? Definitely within the month, right?" I whispered, I loved everyone here but I wanted to get out and do something.
                          
"How about this friday? We have 4 days to pack our lives up and leave. Does that sound good?" He whispered back.
                          
"Yeah. We can start tonight." I said then kissed him on the cheek.
                          
"What are you two whispering about over there?" Stefan asked.
                          
"Nothing-" Kai cut me off.
                          
"Leaving."
                          
"Malachai!" I slapped his shoulder and they all laughed, it was a short laugh because the questions started coming.
                          
"Wait, why are you guys leaving?" Elena asked.
                          
"We just-" kai hit me and I stared at him.
                          
"I just wanted to get away from everything. All the drama and problems. I just want a life, and try to be normal. Which is stupid because I'm a tribrid and hes a hybrid. You know?"
                          
"Yeah... we get it." Caroline said.
                          
"How long would you be gone for?" Damon asked. I looked at Kai and he shrugged.
                          
"Probably about a year."
                          
"A year?!" They all said in unison. The second I said it I felt bad.
                          
"Well I wont be gone this time! I'll be out traveling! And we can visit, I will call every single one of you, and we can all talk all the time! It's only gonna be a year, itll fly by fast!"
                          
"When will you leave?"
                          
"We were thinking friday.."
                          
"Friday?!" Elena, Bonnie and Caroline asked.
                          
"Yeahhh..." I said nervously.
                          
They all ran up and hugged me, pushing Malachai out of the way.

It was Thursday, everyone wanted to take me and Kai out to a dinner. It was that morning, me and Kai hadn't slept at all that night. We were packing all night, we laughed all night and talked about anything we could think of, it was 8 in the morning and we had just played down. He was holding me from behind and snuggled his head on my neck and shoulder.
                          
"I can't wait until we leave."
                          
I turned over on my back so he was slightly laying on me.
                          
"Neither can I, I mean dont get me wrong I love it here and I love all the support everyone gives us. But itll be nice to get away from all if this for a while."
