Y/n POV (Third person)
She had a hard time breathing through the pillow, wet from the tears that escaped her stone cold face. Her body was heavy and her eyes just wanted to close due to her leak of seep. But she just couldn't, thoughts and the constant itching in every muscle kept her awake. These weren't the same feelings that kept her up when she was alone. Then guilt, the feeling of not being enough made her crumble. Now anxiety from making a mistake and losing the human affection she had been starving for, was haunting her mind.
She heard someone walking into the room. They just walked past her bed and into their own. A heavy sigh filled the room. "I don't know why, but when you got here, when I saw you. I thought everything was going to be normal. I thought you would be happy. You looked so happy and relaxed the first days. What happened Y/n? What did I do wrong? What should I have done?"
She wanted to tell him that he had done everything right. That she just... The fact was that she herself did not understand why this was such a big deal. She read the signs wrong and it affected everyone. Everyone got hurt from her acting from feelings.
After a while she heard Nicks breathing calm down. He had managed to sleep. Her tense body slowly calmed down too. Maybe she would get some sleep after all.
George POV (Third person)
"I'm just gonna go to sleep. This is too much for me." He just nodded to Sapnaps words that broke the uncomfortable silence which filled the room during the last hour. George was all alone with his thoughts, sitting on the wooden bench. Once again the silence echoed in his head louder for each second. It almost hurt, the only thing keeping him sane was the warm light from red stone lamps that was evenly spread out in the sealing. George clenched his fists focusing on the light trying to avoid the panic attack that so often would haunt the brunette. The pictures of his family's dead bodies all flashed in his mind as it usually did. At this point he was used to it.
George got up from the bench still focusing on the light, more and more black dots sprinkled his vision. On unsteady legs he stumbled to the oak door and fumbled it open. The boy took a deep breath before the light vanished by the door closing behind him. George slowly made his way down the stairs. He tried to focus on how just a few days ago he had been laughing at that same spot with his friends. But when the anxiety kicks in, when the memories have trapped you. It's hard to break free.
The sound of iron meeting stone broke the silence. His ears had a break from the pain caused by emptiness. George followed the sound he knew would lead him to his friend. The shadow from a 6.3 tall man spread over the stone floor. A single torch lighting up just enough for George to see the green hoodie Dream always seemed to wear. "Dream..."
Dream POV (First person)
I heard his silent footsteps. But I didn't want to act, I knew that my trust for people had been ruined a long time ago. George and Sapnap were the first people that I had even spoken to since then. And now I ruined my progress because I was scared. I was scared to give in, giving in to her that I have only known for a few days.
"Dream..." His voice was shaking. I remember that voice. Back when I first found him would George get panic attacks multiple times per day. He was suffering, something had triggered his condition. And the thing he cared about the most was people. I was acting harsh towards everyone. And It affected the people I care about. It probably affected her and Sapnap too.
I turned around and met his eyes. George was sitting on the ground. Right as my eyes met his, he put his head in his hands. "I messed up didn't I" Was all I could say. It would be stupid to ask if he was ok. It was clearly not like that.
Dream POV (Third person)
He sat down next to one of his two best friends. Dream had to comfort him. At that moment it didn't matter how bad he messed up. His friends were all that mattered. Maybe he should just back off after this. He could go and raid some old villages and gather some enderpearls. When he came back the situation might have calmed down.
He stood up and gave George a hand. Dream hugged the shorter man, giving him the comfort to relax and break the panic that had fought against his body. "I trust you George. You know that right?" George looked up with confusion in his brown eyes. "So if I were to go on a trip for a while. Would you take care of Y/n and Sapnap. And make sure that everyone got all the weapons and armor we need until I'm back." George backed off still confused over Dream words. He didn't know how to react or answer. "W- where... are you going? Dream just smiled and started walking out of the large cave system. "Don't you worry about it."
