Hermione felt a slight nudge on her shoulder, turning around she saw you, holding a pillow in your arms and crying.
"What happened, Y/n? Is everything ok?" She sat up and made room for you to sit next to her.
You shook your head, "I had a nightmare, I can't go back to sleep," your voice was soft and shaky.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
You shook your head, "Can I sleep with you tonight?"
"Of course," Hermione pulled you into her arms, running her fingers through your hair, "It was just a dream, Y/n/n. You're safe with me."
After a while the sounds of your sons died down, replaced with a gentle snore. You felt safe in Hermione's arms, the feeling of her arms around you grounded you in reality, melting away the lingering feelings from your nightmare.
Kissing your forehead gently, she finally welcomed sleep when she was sure you'd be okay.
