It was abnormally sunny and mellow for a November weekday. The school hallway was crowded with students. Sounds of laughter booming along with chattering and excited conversations.
Erwin was busy checking up his schedule for the next class, however his mind was in different place. He kept rewinding back to the time he spent with Levi on the weekend, heart continually surging with joy. His dazzling smile, his infectious laugh, his thrusting hair, dishevelled by the breeze at the roof. Erwin had to admit to himself, he does have an indescribable feelings for the male in which, he only realised that yesterday.
Everyone must've gone through that stage at some point in their lives, maybe it was Erwin's time to adapt it too. The thing was, he never experienced the feeling of sudden palpitations increasing whenever he's with someone. At least not until he's seventeen. And until he met Levi.
He grinned sheepishly. As Erwin got all of his supplies out, he heard a distant footsteps storming towards his way which made him quite nervous despite being the least student to have the centre of the attention. He shut his locker and turned to his side and sure enough, the girl who supposedly had a 'crush' on him was there with flames burning in her retinas. She frowned, creating thousands of wrinkles on her forehead.
Erwin showcased a polite smile. "Isabel. How are you? It's been awhile."
Isabel's mouth fell agape as her eyes widen, like she couldn't believe what Erwin just said. "Are you kidding me?"
The male raised a brow. "Is there a problem?" He asked.
Ignoring the question, she drew herself up tall while looking around the noisy hallway before getting straight to the point. "What is Levi to you?"
"What?" Erwin blinked his eyes, completely dumbstruck. "What do you mean?"
"Quit the game, Erwin." She sounded incandescent. "I heard Hange talking about this whatever 'date' that you had with Levi last Saturday. What are you guys' relationship? Boyfriends?"
Erwin stared at the her, feeling a bit shell-shocked. He's actually been trying to stay away from Isabel for as long as he could and will eventually told her everything that had happened with him and Levi. But now, the plan had overrode. For a few petrified seconds, his mind galloped around options; Keep denying or act stupid.
"Oh, come on." Isabel spitted. "Do you even have any idea, of how loud Hange was when she talked about it? She basically wanted the whole school to know."
It was after school when everyone had left the building. Isabel was on her way to her locker to grab something when she heard an audible squealing of a student whom she recognised the voice. A curiosity rose inside her, so she silently stood behind the corner and peeked to hear what the person was discussing about.
"Oh my god, Moblit. I knew it! I knew Erwin has the same feelings as Levi. That's why he wanted to take him on a date this weekend!"
Isabel was taken aback. She felt as if she wasn't hearing that correctly and her mind started to race. Maybe Hange misspoken? Maybe they're different students with the same name? Nonetheless, she kept peering out to the pair, stationing herself within earshot of them.
Moblit chuckled. "Hange-san, quiet down your voice. People might hear you."
"This is huge, Moblit! Ah, how I wished I could capture the moment. I would print out pictures and tape them on my walls. They're so adorable!" Hange was practically fangirling now. Her voice was high-pitched and it echoed through the ghost-quiet corridors. Meanwhile Moblit, being the supportive boyfriend he was, he let Hange absorbed the good news that she received. And he just stood there, watching her fondly.
