About this property

Spectacular views of the Tower of London and river Thames

We are pleased to offer you our two bedroom spacious self-catering apartment in this Edwardian building, located close by the River Thames, with the world-famous Tower of London literally across the road, and the iconic Tower Bridge as our backdrop.

Our two-bedroom apartment has a standard occupancy of 4 guests but can comfortably sleep up to 6 people (there is a small surcharge of £15 per person per night for the 5th and 6th guests). We can also provide an additional travel cot - suitable for a for a baby up to approx 12 months’ old - (available on request). The apartment is thoroughly cleaned before and after you leave. Please note that an additional cleaning of £70 per stay is payable in cash to our housekeeper at check-in.

The apartment is elegantly furnished, providing high-quality amenities and excellent value for money, given our prestigious location next door to the Four Seasons hotel in Tower Hill. It is ideal for both business and leisure visitors alike. For business visitors, the City of London financial district is on our doorstep. For leisure visitors, Tower Hill’s environs are steeped in history, from Roman times on wards, through the invasion of William the Conqueror, to the terrible exploits of Jack the Ripper, a short distance east in Whitechapel. We then come right up to the present-day architecture of the Shard and the Gherkin, both of which are within less than a mile’s radius and easily accessible, by public transport, taxi or on foot.

The area is well served by literally 100's of local restaurants to suit all budgets and sophisticated wine bars and London pubs. Sight seeing and the Theatres of the West-End are easily accessible by tube, bus or short cab ride. We aim to ensure that our apartments feel like your home away from home and our location next to the majestic Tower of London will leave you with fantastic memories and wanting to return!

The views from each room within this elegant apartment located on the 3rd floor (with lift) of this small, quiet and exclusive residential building is spectacular. The nearby Thames path enable guests to take a relaxing walk along the embankment and take in magnificent views as they walk to nearby St Paul's Cathedral, The Tate Modern, Covent Garden and the West End beyond.

Tower Hill has an abundance of high quality restaurants, which cater to every palate and every wallet. A short stroll past the 'Beef Eaters' (guards of the Tower and the Crown Jewels) you will find St Katherine's Dock filled with swanky private yachts as well a wide selection of trendy eateries. Just across Tower Bridge at Butlers Wharf you will find Sir Terrance Conran's famous group of restaurants including 'Pont De La Tour' (Fish) and the 'Chop House' (contemporary English food). Both these locations offer alfresco dining by the river for that perfect romantic and memorable evening spent watching the world go by with friends and family.

Perfect for sightseeing and business trips: From our apartment you can easily visit all the famous sites without need for a car. Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament are approximately a 7 minute journey by Tube or 20 minutes by bus. This means that guests can easily access to the main tourist attractions such as St Paul's cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, as well as the National Gallery and British museum etc. Harrods and the hustle and bustle of all shopping along Oxford, Regent and Bond Streets are also a short journey by tube or bus but Tower Hill and the City also provide an extensive choice of shopping close by. The tour buses pass outside our front door if you want the thrill of seeing the sights from the famous London Red Bus!

The apartment is easily accessible from London's main airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted) by Tube, rail or bus within an hour. The new Elizabeth line trains make the journey from Heathrow a lot quicker than previously. London City airport is just 25 mins using the Dockland Light railway.

Best Place to Stay in London
We spent the best 3 weeks of any vacation in this apartment in the heart of London with a smashing great view of the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, and the Shard skyscraper. We chose this rental to be the place we would celebrate our 50th anniversary. It was the best decision we could have made. We were only a 5 min walk to the Tower Hill underground station which provides direct service to the best sights in London. For example - a trip to Parliament or Westminster Cathedral was 15-20 minutes as well as to many of the West End Theatres, There are many dozens of pubs and restaurants with a 5–10-minute walk with a wide variety of food. The layout if the apartment is nice and very spacious by London standards (significantly more comfortable than any hotel. The Four Seasons Hotel was in the building next to us, but they don't have the view. Although the weather is generally comfortable in the summer, if it gets warm you need to be aware that there is no air conditioning since this is an historic building. The manager, Martin, was fantastic to work with. If you want a fantastic view, be centrally located, and have easy access to the rest of London - THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY.

Fantastic
This is a fantastic property. The location, the unit, the cleanliness, restaurants and attractions everywhere, and transport right outside your door without being too close. The views are amazing, but equally the interior and design of the unit id amazing too. The host is ultra professional, add the check in staff very professional and efficient. If you stay here you won’t regret it. There’s no parking with the unit, but you can find parking around if you must have it. Overall gray ever Gh to go with a great place.

Cozy flat, great location, Exceptional view
This was my second time staying at this apartment and would definitely return again. The apartment building is located next to a tube station and is directly across from the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, and All Hallows Church. The view is amazing! The apartment is cozy and comfortable. It is also situated close to multiple pubs and restaurants and is a short walk to Tesco and Boots. Highly recommended for couples or families!

Our Return Visit - Comfortable and Great Location
We have stayed in this building before, in the one bedroom, and greatly enjoyed it. We booked the two bedroom apartment with a stay in January. The only "problem" we have with this apartment is that it makes going somewhere other than London quite difficult. This was our third visit to London (and we feel we should see other cities besides London) but having such a great place to stay keeps us coming back. We've recommend the play to our friends and co-workers. Everything in the apartment worked well, we made frequent use of the kitchen, wifi and tv (when we were there). We felt quite secure and the view of the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London each day was simply fantastic.

Fantastic service, fantastic location
This apartment is so well situated. A couple of minutes from the underground, Tower of London, eateries etc.(the Tower of London is right across the road and can be seen, along with Tower Bridge from all the windows). The unit itself is lovely and Martin and Jane could not have been more thoughtful and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely telling my friends.thank you so much Martin and Jane.

Visit from Canada: June 24th to July 1st, 2016
As is often the case with many services, communication can make the difference between an experience you would like to forget, and, one you will remember and share with friends due the exceptional experience. Our experience with Martin Hunt (and Jane) was first class and exceptional all around. We had numerous questions leading up to our arrival in London, and, needed to deal with a left-behind item when we left the country. In every instance, the service and quick responses we received (always within 48 to 72 hours) were exemplary. The location was perfect for us (My wife and our 17 and 19 Year old Daughters) as first time visitors to London. The Tube Station, the Thames River Tour Dock, and the Hop-On-Hop-Off stations are all within eyesight and only a 3 or 4 minute walk from the apartment; literally across the street. The Tower of London and the Tower Bridge are also across the road, offering quite a view both in the day, and, when lit at night. We typically made breakfast in the apartment each morning, but, the close proximity to the tourist sights provides for a number of "grab-and-go" type of food/coffee spots (including Starbucks) as well as 'The Kitchen" Restaurant, a Food Truck or two, and a River-Side Restaurant which is a little more upscale. We walked to the grocery store the first day (Tesco) which was probably a 2km walk each way but easy to find. Our favorite end-of-touring-day places to relax for some good food and beverages, at reasonable prices, was both the Liberty Bounds Pub (typical Pub / Sports Bar on one end of the same building as the apartment. Order your food and drinks at the bar), and the All-Bar-One Pub at the opposite end of the building (clientele more suite and tie and food more upscale but reasonable - they take your order and serve you). We alternated depending on who had the best specials during the week. The apartment itself is larger than we envisioned and was perfect for the 4 of us. It offers everything detailed on the site and more.. It is a very secure building which requires use of an electronic key fob to enter the building from outside and again to enter into the elevator area. The only issue we had was the fact that the Shower Heads in both bathrooms needed replacement for what I suspect is quite some time. It was more like showering in a trickling waterfall, than with an actual shower spray. My wife and daughters found it to be a nuisance but such a small price to pay for such a great spot.

Perfect location, perfect apartment!
We couldn't be happier with our experience. The apartment is ideally located, just steps from both the underground an many city buses. It was roomy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It felt like a home away from home. Martin was so easy to work with. He answered all questions we had and responded to all emails almost immediately. Jane, the woman who greeted us, was SO GREAT! Helpful, cheery and so fun! Without question, we will be returning to this apartment in the future. We travel to England regularly and are so happy to have found this gem!

Our Stay in London
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The description of the apartment and its location were accurate and it was clean and well maintained. The owner responded very promptly and provided easy-to-follow directions and wonderful suggestions about restaurants, things to see and other interesting information about the area. There are good grocery stores nearby. We enjoyed going to The Tower Of London just across the street and the apartment was very close to the Tube, which made it easy to get to other areas of London. I would recommend this apartment. We hope to return one day.

Great apartment and wonderful location
This is a great apartment in a fantastic location. It is very close to the tube, and there are restaurants nearby. The view is exactly as it is in the pictures. The apartment was clean and well-appointed (we didn't cook there, but there are cooking tools suitable for a complex meal if you want that). We received a very nice welcome from the property manager, who took the time to purchase some basics for the fridge (bread, milk, butter, juice). Would definitely recommend this apartment to others, and will look into staying here when I am back in London.

I highly recommend this apartment. Great location
The view from this apartment is one of the best in London. After a day sightseeing, my 7 year old son sat in the large living room window drawing the Tower bridge, the Tower on London, the River Thames.

The best location in London
The apartment is just as described in the listing. It was impeccably clean and well maintained. Martin (the owner) answered all my questions via email during the whole booking process. His assistant, Jane, was there to meet us when we arrived at midnight from the states. She was kind enough to provide us with milk, bread, jam, orange juice and tea crackers. The apartment was also stocked with coffee, tea, and paper products. Martin returned our security deposit within a week. We really loved the pub downstairs for breakfast and after we returned from long days of sightseeing. The bar-b-q restaurant next store had really good food too. There are so many restaurants and pubs in a one block radius you could find a different one for every meal. We loved getting on the boat across the street and going to all the sights. The tube is also convenient, just a block away. I would recommend this property without any hesitation. It is truly a gem.

A Location Dream with Comfort
How do you top a room with a view of the Tower of London? You do that by staying here! The apartment is comfortable, impeccably clean, great beds and showers, nice living space and kitchen and it has incredible views day and night from the bedrooms and living room! We stayed five nights with another couple; the owner Martin Hunt very thoughtfully provided a refrigerator stocked with some morning basics and, Jane, his rep, gave us a thorough briefing at the start of the stay and offered to be available if we needed anything. We didn't need to call her because everything was perfect! The building has several restaurants, Liberty Bounds is next door to the entrance and we also walked over the London Bridge to Browns and the Blueprint Cafe (loved it!) and enjoyed Dickens Inn at St. Katherine's Dock just a 10 minute walk away and near the Tesco Grocery. (Great fish and chips there!) Everything is close, the tube is across the street. We couldn't have asked for a better place in London and would return without hesitation.

Living Like a Local in London
The 1 bedroom apartment was accurately represented. The property was both clean and well maintined. The owner's representative, Jane, left us with some food and beverages to get us started. As previous renters have stated the view of Tower Bridge is beautiful. You are well located to the Tower Hill tube stop (5 minute walk) and many buses that will take you just about anywhere you would want to go in central London. The exterior apartment hallways and lift were also in very good condition. We felt very safe and well located and so preferred staying in an apartment to an expensive, cramped hotel.

Fantastic Apartment and Location
I stayed in the Tower apartment for five days with two of my friends. I can't say enough about the beautiful views, the convenient location, and the warm welcome we were given for the London portion of our vacation. The housekeeper met us promptly when we called and provided us with several necessities such as milk, eggs, yogurt, and orange juice. She also gave us directions to the grocery stores close by as well as a couple of cafes. The location was so perfect because the Tower Hill tube station was just across the park ; the Tower of London was across the street, and the river landing for transportation on the river was there by the Tower. We took the boat the first afternoon to the London Eye and then walked along the river and across Tower Bridge back to our "home." The apartment was furnished well with nice furniture and comfortable beds so it felt like home. At night the view from the windows was beautiful. We all bought the convenient Oyster card and utilized the tube station to go all over London to the British Museum, to the shops on Oxford Street, and to the Hyde Park area. We went to the theatre and enjoyed every minute of our too brief stay in London. So - on our return visit we will stay no where else but the Tower Apartment. Loved it that much!

Just as it looks in the pictures
We stay a long weekend, a couple with 2 children (8 & 10 y.o.). We recommend this property for many reasons: - perfect location (underground, buses, restaurants, supermarket, etc...) - excellent views (just as in the picture) - unsurpassable accomodation (everything in the flat was perfect: furniture, sheets, towels, cookware, dishes, comfortable beds and sofa beds) - personal attention (Jane was on time to give us keys and tell us about the local restaurants and supermarkets. She was also was very helpful when we ask her to leave the flat on time -10am- but let us leave the luggage in the flat and pick up later. Martin came to say hello and check that everything was all right) Something negative? It is true that one hears traffic and underground noise, but not more than in any city, at the end you are in London, not in a cottage. So I recommend you to stay here for a great London holidays!

Great Stay...Would definitely come back!
Great place to stay! We choose this apartment because of its location to the city and metro station. Yes the apartment is not right in the center of the city, but it is still in the city and the tube is pretty easy to navigate. The metro station, Tower Hill, is literally across the street (takes about 3-5 mins to walk there since the entrance is around the backside). The place is spacious and clean. The pictures are accurate, you can literally sit on the couch and look out the window to see the Tower Bridge! The cable and internet worked great, the bedrooms were a good size, and the bathrooms were just fine too. The only minor complaint I have, but really is nothing, is that one of the single mattress' in the 2nd bedroom (not the master) needs to be replaced soon since it has lost almost all of its spring! Martin, the owner, does a great job communicating with you about everything as well! Would definitely recommend and if I am back in the future would definitely book again!
