Whumpee who's been confined in a cramped position for ages finally being rescued. Once they're home and clean and safe, Caretaker starts the loooong process of massaging out their muscles. Except Whumpee's muscles are so cramped and sore that even the lightest touch is agony. Caretaker keeps flinching back and Whumpee keeps begging them not to stop, even though they're sobbing into the pillow like they're taking a beating.

Call for Submissions: 2026 Whumpy Books

The Whumpy Printing Press is now open to novelette, novella, novel, short story collection, and graphic novel submissions! We’re looking for standalone stories as well as series, and are happy to work with both new and established authors. 

Your story should clearly fall into the whump genre (i.e. a character needs to be hurt). We’re looking for strong stories with a balance between whump and plot. We are especially fond of sci-fi/fantasy settings, but will consider any story as long as it gives us whumperflies!   

Word count: at least 7,500. There is no word count maximum. 

Submissions for the 2026 publication year must be received by September 30, 2025.

Author's Notes: he's getting there! sort of!

Content Warnings: tiny whump, faerie whump, crushed, broken bones, painful healing, magical healing

Content: Starvation, vampire whumpee, captivity.

A vampire whumpee licking up their own dried blood off the floor, as though it could possibly sate their never ending hunger. They tell themselves over and over again that it’s a delicious human’s in hopes that their brain might start to believe it, but it’s a pathetic attempt.

if house md were running in 2024 there would be an episode with a patient who identifies as an ‘online content creator’ (cagily) where house agrees to take the case primarily because when he offhandedly refers to her as an onlyfans model both cameron and cuddy get really offended and say it’s a sexist assumption so he doubles down and becomes committed to finding the patient’s onlyfans and proving it. at some point it would be revealed that chase actually is an onlyfans model and started doing it as a stopgap after his dad died and he suddenly got disinherited but he makes so much money off it that now medicine is basically just a hobby. cameron and foreman both disagree with the concept online sex work but it turns out they disagree for different reasons (cameron thinks it’s exploitative and not-feminist, foreman finds it distasteful and thinks people should get ‘real jobs’) and spend most of their scenes together arguing about this while chase gets continually more shifty. they break into the patient’s house and there’s a full ringlight and camera setup which seems to confirm house’s suspicions. while trying to find the patient’s onlyfans house accidentally finds chase’s onlyfans instead and considers publicly embarrassing him about it like he did with wilson’s sex tape but soon realises that most of the staff at the hospital are already subscribed to chase’s onlyfans so makes fun of him for that instead. it then transpires that the reason why the patient is so cagey about being a content creator is that she’s an ASMR artist and all the soap she’s been shaving on camera has irritated her lungs. cuddy is about to make house give her 20 extra hours of clinic duty as recompense but at last minute it’s revealed that the website the patient uses for some of her bonus commissions is, drumroll…onlyfans, because she’s been banned from patreon. how does house know this? wilson is subscribed to her because the soap videos sometimes soothe him to sleep. something by cigarettes after sex plays. roll end credits.

i’m not joking some of the most compelling evidence for chuck won theory is the fact that sam and chuck are both there in 11x23 when dean instructs cas to look after sam when dean dies and says that he wants his funeral to be a giant affair with partying and music but then in the finale sam burns dean’s body by himself. like that’s literally chuck being petty and twisting the knife by making sure dean’s funeral was tiny and quiet and left sam all alone. chuck knew that dean wanted to get cas back, to retire from hunting, and for his funeral to be a rager with all his loved ones and dean was denied every single one of those things.

normalize having more than one best friend. "best friend" shouldn't just be a title reserved for one person... best friend is a species...
