Reminiscing about 2ha again after seeing a post about it and remembered that Chu Wanning canonically thought he was ugly, which obviously isn’t true, but I kind of see why he would think that.
He was made in the image of a dead person, someone who wasn’t meant to be alive. I’d genuinely start hating my own reflection too if the person who stared back at me the mirror was a memento to a dead person. That face, that was stiff and cold like a corpse, that was unfeeling in every way possible.
I imagine it was like uncanny valley for him that he hadn’t noticed until everything was revealed to him. How everything about himself was a little too perfect, a little too idealised, and that made him ugly, because he wasn’t even human anymore.

Very important questions I need answers to:
- Will this be the third time a volume ends with Cezhou banging?
- Will Shen Lanzhou get even kinkier than calling Xiao Chiye daddy and giving him a foot job at a work function?
- Will I finally get a grasp on who people are that aren’t Cezhou?
- (Most important of all) Will the eunuchs still be eunuching?
1 and 4 confirmed by interior illustrations. Just waiting on plot confirmation for 2. 3 continues to be up for debate.

- Looks like we’re about to enter our angst era and I am so here for it!!! I’m feeling like there could be some significant deaths on the horizon.
