the thing about the Present Manehare Team Up is that I keep thinking of that stream where—
Mane was just hanging out at spawn for ages, and playing around with Planet but keeping him safely behearted as necessary, Bacon flies to spawn and Kab follows nervously. When Zam wants to talk privately to Bacon, Mane leads her round spying on them for ten minutes. Then he goes "I am bored we should jump them" and she goes well I don't have a sword and Bacon is my teammate but we could jump Mapicc! (this is like two hours after Mapicc killed her) Mane is not redirected, he asks for her to get their coordinates, to tell them to go look under the Wemmbu statue. She whispers Bacon to run and Zam about the sign. (...like two hours after Zam tried to kill Clown)
and... Mane kills her for it.
From Zam's stream, I don't even know if Mane looked for Zam. Maybe he got the wrong statue and didn't check the other, but you know maybe he just saw Bacon leave and went looking for Kab. He finds her and Bacon and doesn't even try to kill Bacon, just goes straight for Kab while saying it's because she told him to run, like, evidently your priorities here were not killing either of Zam or Bacon?? (i don't get what he was doing here)
She did one half of what he wanted and he killed her for it.
So like that's the subtext I keep seeing, when he says he wants to eviscerate spawn and she says I liked your other idea about building above spawn, it's not like I care about spawn but originality's important to me—when he says they should reban everyone who got banned voluntarily and she says well I totally agree on Wemmbu but let me explain why Redd's thing was different—
idk
It's really interesting to me how quickly and easily Kab has completely changed her alliances. It leaves her looking very opportunistic. Shes willing to turn traitor the second she gets a better chance of survival. That in turn with the fact that Mane used to be someone she opposed on every moral angle, makes her seem like she doesn’t even have any real morals, she’s more than willing to just accept those of whoever she’s teamed up with.
(It also leaves her looking terrified. She’s so scared of getting killed or banned forever she’ll do anything to stay safe. It’s better to be teamed with someone stronger. And kabs more than willing to forgive the 13 deaths mane gave her if it means he’ll stop killing her. She’ll forgive him for everything if it means she has a better chance of living.)
I'm not sure I'm understanding you right; who do you say she turned traitor against? The unnamed Generalised Alliance Against Manepear dissolved, like, a month ago; Bacon might've indicated uh great horror at the prospect of Kaboodle working with Mane by replying with the one word 'interesting', but there's nothing that suggests she'd harm them. (Do something she knows would harm them; whether it would hurt Hannah to reban Leo is - not sure if even Hannah knows that.)
"Mapicc gives up so fast" don't mischaracterize my dog, Kab, Derapchu does that enough. What is it with blue people and mischaracterizing Mapicc
you gotta admit it's very funny that two days after she said that. mapicc decided he'd give up on enforcing mawn. 🤭
Yeah but not because Guardians of Anarchy or whatever their name is blew up spawn/built a better spawn on top of spawn/ whatever their other plan was, but because he reunited with his secret third thing and that was the only thing he wanted. Why continue to enforce mawn if he has Zam back? Yeah Zam wasn't the only reason for the creation of mawn, but man if he wasn't one of the main ones. Mape's goals are achieved, so it was a success.
Well I mean
thing is that's going to be so [ __ ] annoying about this is that I think Zam is like disappearing for like two weeks or so for the holidays, and then Mapicc's going to get [ __ ] bored with Mawn and then just [...] disband the entire thing on his own because he's just going to get [ __ ] bored without Zam because that's the only reason he's doing it
she did say that she predicted Mapicc would give up on Mawn not because of the GoA doing anything, but because of not having Zam [to oppose it] —which, basically, generally, in broad strokes, is what happened 💁
(oh huh maybe the two weeks holiday is part of why he was so very driven to go sure, mapicc brought flamefrags and a box of wardens to zaun and got me&derap killed ?5? times? today?, i should respond to this by proving to mapicc that i care about him. 'cause otherwise it'd sit unresolved for two weeks. 🤔)
also love Kaboodle in "here are my Extremely Pragmatic Reasons why you should Not Blow Up Spawn that are totally not moral qualms" mode
Sure You Don't, Kab! 👍
why are ppl mad kab killed jepex and attacking the cc rather than getting mad at the character /gen
I haven't seen anyone who struck me as angry at cc!Kab for the Jepexx kill?
Like personally I am full-on defending ls!Kab for killing Jepexx, as far as I can tell she's never interacted with him or heard much about him and has no reason to see him as anything other than a member of the Empire who fought Mane and Flame on seven hearts and lasted a solid three minutes; which is to say someone very much in her weight class and presumably stronger than her—at most times. And thus tricking him into walking up to her unarmoured is like a normal-Lifesteal type of revenge-on-proxy-teammate that's a bit dirty but not at all on the level of say killing a Planetlord.
(he uh. in fact is not. even if he were much better at pvp than all other aspects of minecraft she would win a fair 1v1 on account of she carries a Sharp sword. 😭)
a minor analysis of Manepear's manipulation (mane-ipulation)
A few thoughts to frame the discussion: Clownpierce has the mace; Clownpierce has not yet died. Clownpierce doesn't log on very often, and of everyone on the server Clownpierce is closest to Kaboodle.
With that in mind... 1hr 13min into 'A New Leaf..?', after a lot of open honest conversation about the war, morality, honour and Mane's potential as an interior decorator, Kaboodle brings up her constancy towards Clownpierce and Manepear starts telling her she should put herself first, because Clown doesn't.
He starts with the basic, obvious facts: Clown doesn't log on very often, he's never attacked Mane for her, he's never sacrificed himself for her like she has for him. Even... Woogie..? backs him up on all that.
Then she starts bringing up counter-examples and he pushes back, with subtle mis-framings like "it would have been easy for him to say I searched for Mapic on purpose so that I could get back for you" when, like, I saw that video and I bet you did too, he said that to Mapicc, and not to Kaboodle. Or brushing off that time he did fight Mane's team as if there's "10 people he knows he's not going to get targeted and if he gets a kill on Main and Flame that would be huge for him", when, uh, it's not that Mane has specific knowledge that the other group chat was considering jumping Clown for the mace earlier in the day, but I do feel that dynamic is sufficiently common knowledge.
I've actually had this thought before because I thought that he was, I was, I was confident that he was betraying me cuz I was thinking like "why would Clownpierce betray and and use everybody except for me? how does that make any sense? why would I be the only one?" and it doesn't make sense like nothing would make me special
Drawing parallels digs into her fears without him directly saying she's not special so as to elicit sympathy and not offense. (and pay no attention to the dissimilarities in their relationships to clown)
I think it was easy for him to defend you from Subz because he knows that he can kill Subz but if it was me in that situation I'm not so sure if he would he would have done the same thing
(y'know i didn't actually notice at the time that uh that's a very different line than his Subz Glazing to Zam&Mapicc)
Mane: did he leave my alliance or did I force him out? Kab: you did force him out Mane: he didn't have a choice not to choose you Kab: yeah that's a horrible... Mane: [crosstalk] he could have at least shot me a DM—wait! Oh my gosh! I just remembered
Things I did not notice on first listen: sorry, when could he have shot you a DM? When you turned on him?? No, no, that segue makes no sense. Mane absolutely did not "just remember". DMs only came into this because he wanted a segue into: his climactic reveal.
When I was looking for your base, I told him about my, my plan to find you using dogs, and he was telling me how to do it more efficiently.
So. Let's look at [the screenshots that i copied off someone else o7]
The first thing that stood out to me, as I was watching the stream, was this: Mane says "he was telling me how to do it more efficiently", and then he lets Kab stew in that for a bit, and then he sends her these screenshots. The framing is set up. But there is not one line in there that is Clown giving Mane advice on how to track her.
The nearest he gets to advice is "she knows when you do tho". Mane glosses that to Kab as "he was telling me exactly what not to do as well", but listen: look at it. The closest he gets to advice is: maybe don't track her. Maybe you shouldn't even try.
Mane asked "what should I say", he relates it like it's another example of advice, which looks like it could lead to advice, and then the screenshot cuts off. And... it's shorter than the first one. We know for an absolute fact that the height is not limited by, say, the height of the screen. It cuts off there because whatever comes after that does not back up the narrative Mane's selling her.
Laughing about her, saying she's scared: it's emotionally affecting, but it's not actionable information. It does not help Mane find Kab. All it does is give the feeling that Clown is on Mane's side.
After exiting the conversation Kaboodle grieves to chat about it; she starts off thinking of it as"actively telling Mane how to find me is, is..." but a few minutes later she's caught on to "if you look at the messages he's not actively selling me out"; she has prior history of coming back the next day going hang on...
Very interested to see how far she gets with it. That thing with the dogs was streamed live; I watched it. The memory of it tickled at my brain, so after today's ended I tracked it down, and found:
Clownpierce: Did he find the manepears? What? Kaboodle: So all the manepears teleported to me when they hit, when he hit them. Clown: [AWKWARD LAUGHTER] Kab, fearless: I'm thousands of blocks away, I'm really far away. Clownpierce: Maybe they... they sometimes do move in the direction they teleport to, maybe he knows the location. Maybe - maybe move around.
Clownpierce was DMing Manepear saying "ok good idea"—and then, on a call with Kaboodle, telling her Mane's tactic and what to do about it.
:)
(He doesn't maximally betray Mane, he doesn't tell her he knows Mane's doing that or tell her before it starts happening; there's a degree of trying to stay on both sides. But he isn't neutral, and he is ultimately, materially, on Kab's side.)
I, like Kaboodle, saw Manepear's "removing all netherite" video and really enjoyed it (the twists genuinely surprised me) but there was this doubt where—videos and not streams usually feel this way to me—I wasn't sure whether, to convince the server that he wasn't the guy on his friend's account, he had to actually convince them. I just knew that was a kind of story he wanted to tell, and hoped he'd try it on Lifesteal.
Now, though, I believe it. I've seen maybe two other fandom people even doubting this. I believe he did because I see he can. And oh my goodness I love it.
Why's Kaboodle banned? She took a 24 hour ban for elytra-in-combat so Manepear would get a 48 hour ban for doing it Worse. S-tier hater with the sacrifice play 😌
..."where are you getting a lot of dirt from?" And let me show you. This is what I did last time—cuz I pretended for a few days that I didn't fix spawn, but I did—so this is what, this is what you do...
...oh it was Kab! There was one other thing she said earlier about spruce where I wasn't sure if she meant this time or the previous set of spawn-fixing but it was this time.
ZAM: You're like the only person that helped me clean up Mapicc's castle, I don't get it. Why, like... why just turn on all of that right now? KAB: Oh, I'm not turning on that, I'll help you fix spawn! I don't, I don't want to blow up—see that's what you're missing
Extremely funny that in the middle of the height of her Joker act the actual concrete actions Kaboodle says she'll take are:
- she wants to kill Manepear
- spawn might get damaged as a side effect
- she'll help Zam fix spawn
Like. Okay. You really didn't need the whole nothing-is-real, light-drain-from-your-eyes thing to justify that. That was fully optional—and so no wonder, actually, that when spawn actually is decimated and all his plans fail and actually he gave up on pacifism weeks ago, when everything she might have done to him is already done and worse than she ever could—
—she doesn't want it.
(i think the fundamental thing she wants from Zam is literally just someone to do cool lore with; where cool means, like, dramatic lines and deep psychoanalysis and causing character development: she wants to have an impact on his character, like she's been playing out on her end; her first idea was negatively, had to scrap that, switched to trying for positively.)
kaboodle making an "objective" "karma" list and putting. herself on it. 'cause she killed planet. 😐😭
