hey bud! welcome to my blog :)

my name is mr. nice guy, but you could also call me ellie, butterfly, smiley, melon, or any of my kin names! i like to draw, write stories, sing, and do a bunch of other stuff :)

i primarily use they/them pronouns, but i'm fine with she/her and would be happy to try out he/him. i'd describe myself as a genderqueer pseudo-androgynous futch fagdyke lesbian... but in brief i'd just call myself nonbinary (so i'd prefer gender-neutral terms)!

some of my favorite things are smiley faces, rainbows, butterflies & moths, stars, music, and melons! my media interests include object shows (especially bfdi, ii, one, burner, bean's show, animatic battle, itft), welcome home, stranger things, deltarune/undertale, pokemon, kirby, animal crossing, professor layton, and my little pony!

things to keep in mind: i'm white! i'm jewish! i have autism, anxiety, and adhd! i'm legally an adult (over 18)! i prefer to be messaged through asks over dms! every so often i reclaim slurs and make suicide jokes! i frequently post about bugs!

i should hope it's obvious based on my posts, but i'm staunchly against racism, misogyny, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, or intersexism. please respect this.

and some fun facts! my birthday is june 15th, my favorite color is yellow, my favorite food is cookies and milk, my favorite band is ROAR, my favorite holiday is chanukkah, and i own over a hundred plushies! i'm also in my first year of college, majoring in biology!

i guess that's why nobody really knows anybody who's perfect. cuz anybody who's anywhere close to perfect doesn't behave in a way that allows them to be known to any meaningful extent

#melonposting#to be known is to be bothersome i suppose#and to be an angel to someone is to relinquish your full humanity in their eyes. you're just a smiling face to them#and that's all they'll ever know...#though one shouldn't be surprised. if you put up a mask you can't blame people for not seeing through it#though some walls are put up in the hopes they'll be broken down are they not?#perhaps in a similar vein angels show off their wings in the hope they'll be ripped off. so they can finally be human again#it as much a boast of elevation as it is a desperate plea to be lowly#they wish to be in a position such that they can no longer pretend their alienation is a moral high ground#anyway. i think it's clear i need to go to bed haha

#i'm not gonna lie i've spent years having people ask me if i want to just go insane for once and i'm starting to understand why#i suppose if you spend your entire life trying to be inoffensive it'll seem weird to other people. cuz it's supposed to balance out#cuz you'll seem inhumanly 'perfect' when they know that isn't really possible. nice people exist but perfect people don't#so if you seem that way people will look at you and go. hm. one day you will want to destroy something. and that will be a good day for you#and they're probably right

some very stupid screenshots from the witch trial. i switched to a different person's playthrough because the original one was pissing me off (the player took an agonizingly long amount of time looking for hint coins), and unfortunately the graphics on this one are much lower quality, but at least they make for amusing screenshots like these

#melonposting#professor layton#once all the nonsense is over this witch trial is so sad#kira is so afraid of being killed for being a witch that she's willing to have a girl just like her put to death#thinking that this death would be the end of all of these horrible witch trials#fearing the fiery death she perhaps would've evaded longer if she hadn't tried so desperately to prevent it from happening at all...#her desperation up in that cage is very disturbing. this backfired so horribly for her. geez

i've been thinking a lot today about how hershel would look "realistically"... so here are some sketches of him! i think he looks very handsome :)

#dandy's doodles#professor layton#hershel layton#ethnically speaking i'd say he's mostly jewish but has some black ancestry as well#it's funny... he has the same skin tone as luke but i've never read hershel as being just white. i wonder why#anyway. i tried to suit his actual in-game appearance while also incorporating the background i think he has#small deep-set eyes which are so dark they appear nearly black... brown hair in thick curls...#rounded and slightly hooked nose... prominent lower lip...#giving him thick eyebrows was incredibly tempting but he has thin eyebrows when we've seen them#so i gave him those fluffy but almost invisible eyebrows i've seen on a couple of fellow jews#lala. anyway. enjoy my boy. i actually colorpicked him for once
