Ruhn with “that Night Court dude” HE DOESN'T GIVE A FUCK ABT RHYSAND HE'S ONE OF US THAT'S WHY I LOVE HIM
This is so funny and iconic of Bryce
Oh yeah, they're definitely not over.
it's funny how Rhysand is supposedly this caring and giving "brother" figure but Cassian is apparently still so beholden to him after 500 years that he can't even say hey maybe don't threaten to kill my mate
pick a lane people, which is it? or is it just whatever suits the narrative you're trying to push in the moment?
and why is he even beholden to Rhysand when it was Rhysand's mother who took him in? she fed and cared for him, Rhysand was literally a child what the hell did he do? but I guess he would feel grateful to the person who handed him the privilege and power to be a bullying little shit without consequence on a silver platter
for my Valkyries at heart, keep climbing that mountain.🩶

tbh if you have to hurt someone bec it's a "mask" to "protect people" idk that you have the right to get butthurt when they now see you as a villain
Me seeing everyone reblogging lotr content the last two weeks: ah so we're all collectively doing the annual lotr winter rewatch
Az showing Nesta more kindness and tenderness than Cassian ever has in this entire series.
Is it that hard for SJM to write some tender Nessian moments? And why is it that Az - not Cassian - has never said a bad word about Nesta?
It feels like Az is the only one to really see Nesta. He's the only one to see the hurt, traumatized, and depressed woman beneath the visciousness and claws.
I feel like SJM is using Cassian as punishment for Nesta, but then she gives Nesta these beautifully tender moments with Az, and I'm like, what are you doing, woman???
I'm sorry, but the ultimatum given to Nesta in ACOSF: Go to the HoW or be dropped off in the human lands.
Dude, please, piss off. Kick her out of Velaris or even the NC, sure. But you do not own Prythian to banish her from it, you absolute prick!
It's clear Nesta is capable of making friends outside of the IC and those not influenced by Feyre. Nesta also has courtly training to survive even as a human, and now she's a fae with unknown power others fear. Yeah, if ol girl wasn't so self-loathing, she would have been just fine outside the IC. Also, Jurian, Vassa are in the human lands. She could have joined Lucien as their second fae housemate.
She had plenty of choices, but only one would ensure consistent access to her powers for them the use like she'sa weapon, so they made sure she felt like it's was only their way or face literal death.
E/riels would throw such a tantrum if Elain was treated the same way as Gwyn, because I have seen "ginger banshee", "Nesta's pick me friend", "ginger idiot" "stinky ginger" "the man stealing pick me"damaged goods" "boring and irritating" "secondhand goods" (Im cringing while writing this and I have screenshots) "Nesta's friends who was only to support her and did nothing else" etc. (I won't even address the internalised misogyny or how they downplay every achievement of her or just try to bring her character in general)
But there are no temper tantrums from Gwynriels because we don't self insert.
We know our girl will get growth in her own book and her book will shut up her haters.
We are mature and clearly not the same.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like ACOSF and the Ember bonus chapter of HOFAS should have come with trigger warnings. SJM has never delved into the level of abuse that she did in ACOSF, and she didn't even warn her readers about it in advance.
It's not a healing journey - and it's not a book about mental health - when the character struggling with depression, self-hatred, and suicidal tendencies is abused all book long.
And if Rhysand's treatment of Nesta triggered memories of Ember's abuser, did SJM not think Rhys might trigger unwanted memories from her readers too?
After Nesta and Elain are turned High Fae against their will, Feyre makes sure that Lucien grants Elain her space, even making sure that his room is far away from Elain's.
But when Feyre knows that Nesta has asked repeatedly to be left alone, and Feyre finds out that Cassian has still been visiting Nesta every other day against her sister's will, Feyre's reaction is to ask why Cassian even bothers?
Oh yes, Feyre, Nesta is a nasty ass bitch for being mean to the male who is constantly violating her boundaries after she has just been violated in the Cauldron. Nesta is a nasty ass bitch for not being ready for a relationship right after being abducted, tortured, essentially killed, violated, and turned High Fae against her will...mere months after being sexually assaulted by the man she was supposed to marry.
The fact that Feyre had to talk Rhysand down from KILLING Nesta..
Goes to show how he can't regulate his fucking emotions as a 500yo.
Yet you're all still pissed at Tamlin because he couldn't control his??
Is the double standard in the room with us?
"I give hope to Men." "I keep none for myself"
I love how Emerie and Nesta are thorns in their families' sides.
Emerie's family hates her and frequently bullies her because they want to control her and take over her store.
Nesta's family hates her and constantly talks about manipulating and using her in an effort to control her, her powers, and the objects that she alone can wield and control.
All their families see are two mean girls who are a pain in the ass. What they don't see is how both Emerie and Nesta are strong-willed, brave, strong, kind, selfless, loving, courageous, protective, caring, fierce, loyal, hilarious, fearless, smart, bold, etc.
Emerie and Nesta are just proof that our families don't determine our worth and value.
I really need to read Azriel kissing.
I can't stop thinking about it, I mean, does he put his hands on her cheeks? Does he put an arm around her waist while his free hand tangles in her coppery hair?
Does he trap her in the book shelves of the House of Wind's library? What if he whispers things in her ear before he claims her lips?
And my God, does he grab her by the waist and make her wrap her legs around his body? Does he smile while kissing the nymph?
So many questions...
