When he was a little bear boy, a waterfall was always the best place to relax. The falling spray of water was always a comfort when his mother wasn’t around, and the temp was just right, just the way he liked it. There was even a slight smell to it. He could never define it. Probably just minerals in the water, like the ones you’d find in a water bottle. MINERAL WATER, FRESH FROM THE MOUNTAINS
Now, Ralph stood under a dingy shower that shot water like a bullet into his skin and fur, as if fleas had little guns, and the water was set to a permanent lukewarm thanks to a sussy repairman who overcharges like a bitch. Still, it was better than nothing.
Ralph did have to look away from the water, or keep his eyes closed. It all reminds me of him. He put his paw to the shower faucet. The water pummeled his palm, to a pulp, and slipped through his fingers and down his arm and into the tub, quickly and promptly. He tried to catch some with his other paw, but without his sight, it was no use.
“(sigh) can’t even catch a few drops, let alone a human’s worth of it.”
“Ohhhhh?”
Ralph’s eyes popped open. His ears percolated, and his claws itched. He took a quick look around, then looked around the curtain.
Creeeeeeak
“(sigh) goddamnit.” His ears picked up that one. The pipe must’ve been acting up. His shoulders dropped, and his claws stopped itching. “Just what I need—another repair bill.” He then bent down to turn the knob to ‘off.’ Another creak sounded off.
His head suddenly slammed into the tub floor. The water pushed him down, and submerged him, causing him to float up. Ralph’s claws came back out, but couldn’t do much beyond flay his arms around. He tried to roar, but nothing but a garble and bubbles could come out, causing him to choke.
He managed to poke his head above water, and tried to grab his hero communicator to grab the others. The water swatted it away, though, grabbing his wrist and pulling it back into the shower, then watering up past his forearm and bicep, then up to his chin. A shape formed from the wet mass in front, holding Ralph hostage in its body. Within seconds, a slicked ‘do’ formed, along with a smarmy smile.
“Yer gonna have a lot more problems than another repair before I’m through with you, Teddy Bear.” The smile chuckled, all while a glob of water slicked the hair back even further, revealing a set of crystal clear, yet red as hell, eyes. If the devil had diamonds for eyeballs, Ralph would be staring at them right now, and he could only see hell.
“What the hell?!?” Ralph tried to budge himself out of Aquarius’s grip, but nothing. If anything, the liquid lurch had a tighter grip, particularly in his face and pelvis. It was as if a river flowed around him, a jet current brushing through his fur and over his mouth, a little through his butt, keeping him in a claustrophobic orbit.
“Ain’t no use struggling, Teddy Bear. What I lack in flesh and blood, I make up for in an ocean-sized attitude and a hard-frozen-glacier grip.” He laughed, then scoffed. “That and I work out a lot certainly helps.”
“Yeah, well, that’s not gonna stop me, Wethead!!” The waterman slapped him upside the head something fierce.
“Watch yer’ manners, Bear Boy. I mean no harm…”Aquarius’s eyes darted up and down, his grip tightening around Ralph’s midsection, his smile widening like a crack in ice when you crunch it. “…especially to cuties like yourself.”
Ralph stopped budging. Before he could even get a word in, His lips were drowned by Aquarius’s, his tongue entering like a tough gulp of water. Ralph couldn’t help but taste it. It was familiar to him
It tasted….like mineral water.
Ralph felt his muscles calm, but kept his teeth showing. “I have more than one communicator, Aquarius. I’ll find a way out of your grip-“ Before he could say more, another slobbery, showering kiss from Aquarius stopped him dead in his tracks. His whole body became ever enveloped by Aquarius’s very active muscles and strength. All the while, he tasted the sweet taste of waterfall.
“All I want,” Aquarius said, not even with words, but with his tongue, “is a little taste.”
