Wednesday, January 8th: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman in desperate need of help as I'm struggling to keep my utilities on and pay off my debt!!

This isn't how I imagined my New Year starting, and I apologize for asking for help again; but as most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling quite a lot to make ends meet while on welfare benefits and due to my rent arrears and ever-increasing debt. And to be quite honest, these past few months have been absolute hell for me, and with no other income, I've been relying on the kindness of others to get by.

However, I am in desperate need of that kindness again as my utilities are on emergency credit, and I don't receive my welfare until the 31st. To make things worse, my account is overdrawn by £253!!! This balance has been bouncing between my PP and my bank, accruing fees that I'm really struggling to pay!!

Again, I know this is a lot to ask, especially in January, but if anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would save my life, and sharing helps just as much.

Even if you’re going to act like someone being elderly and sick makes their death inherently less tragic, at least admit elderly people deserve to die peacefully instead of drowning in their own lungs and in considerable agony from a terrifying highly infectious virus that likely prevented their loved ones from holding their hand during the transition. No one deserves to die like that. Not a fucking soul.

I have to pay my car note and my cat is still at the pet hospital. It's $50 a day not including the treatment and I can finally pick her up today. The price they gave me is $637. Please. My gas is still off and the weather is cooling down and that's my form of heating. Also I'm diabetic and can't cook without gas either. Rent is also due in a couple days.

I've been at $0 for days 😭😭😭 I rly need gas to go to work this week and food. I can just keep being behind on the other stuff but I'm diabetic I NEED groceries and I need to be able to go to my job. I'm not a lazy person I swear. I work over 40 hrs a week even while disabled even tho that makes it even harder on my body but I'm TRYING.

Urgent! Still trying to pay 2 months rent and catch up on car payment as well!!

Y'all this is urgent, bills keep popping up like please please help me at least get enough to get some bottled water, some sandwich prep items, some canned soup and some bottled water before the potential weather event.

I recently spoke with my dear friend Suad @suad-khaled and she gave me an update on her life as a displaced mother in south-central Gaza. I want to share with you all some of what she told me:

And here is the flour Suad and her family are forced to pick through in order to survive.

Sifting only removes the largest insects that have made their home in the flour. It does not remove larvae, detached wings, or excrement. Suad and her family are forced to eat them in order to (barely) avoid starvation.

Suad’s situation has never been more dire than it is right now. Food and basic necessities are extremely scarce and expensive. And the threat of IOF attack is omnipresent.

Please, if you can spare anything at all, send something to Suad. We are her and her baby’s best chance at surviving genocide.

My dear friend Ola is still in north Gaza. While hundreds of thousands have been forced out by the IOF, many thousands more still remain. Ola and her family are among them!

Famine has gripped north Gaza for more than a year. Many areas are under IOF seizure, and entire neighborhoods and districts have been leveled. Ola is finding it very, very difficult to remain hopeful in this environment.

In early October 2023, Amal was a university student pursuing a degree in French. She and her husband had a comfortable life with their newborn baby girl, Maryam. Their happy life was destroyed when the occupation began carpet-bombing Gaza. They lost their home and were forced to flee south in order to survive.

They stayed with friends for a time, but eventually had to leave due to the stresses of multi-family living in small spaces. They were living in a tent in Rafah for several months, under threat of bombs and IOF ground assault, but have been repeatedly displaced ever since then.

They are collecting aid so they can begin the paperwork to evacuate Gaza through Rafah crossing once it reopens. In the mean time, they continue to need support for food, water, and medicine. All of these items are scarce in Gaza, and the prices are extremely inflated as a result.

Please help this young family survive until they can find safety!
