HELP ALI'S FAMILY

The scarcity in food and supplies have caused prices to increase drastically in Gaza. Now with the winter it is becoming exceedingly hard for Many Gazans and their families to survive.

I urge you to please help Ali and his family of 9 who have been displaced multiple times since October 7th and were held at gunpoint by IDF soldiers when they raided the Humanitarian centre where Ali and his family were staying.

The fundraiser has only reached 1/5th of it's goal of $10K. Please at least get the fundraiser to 3K by the new year. The fundraiser is not vetted but reverse image search seems clean and donations are protected

🚨 We Need Your Kindness to Survive 🚨

Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.

The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.

We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.

Our Current Situation:

💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. 🍞 Basic Needs: Food and water are becoming harder to afford with rising prices and scarce resources. 📚 Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. 😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.

How You Can Help:

I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.

Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.

What This Means to Us:

Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.

Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.

With all our gratitude, Mosab Elderawi and Family ❤️

Every contribution or reblog helps bring us closer to a brighter future. Thank you for standing with us in this journey.

Maha @mahafamily1 needs to have an emergency hysterectomy! She recently had a miscarriage, and if she does not have a hysterectomy NOW, she will die!!

The doctor told her EVERY MINUTE OF DELAY DECREASES HER CHANCE OF SURVIVAL!!! Minute-by-minute, we are losing Maha!!!

Because her recent emergency operation had to be paid on credit, and is not yet paid, Maha now needs to pay the full cost of the hysterectomy up-front before the procedure will be done!!! She urgently URGENTLY requires $2000 USD in order to survive!!!

MAHA IS DYING AS I TYPE THIS!!! I am in tears begging you all, do not let medical bureaucracy take such a beautiful soul!!!!

NEED TO RAISE: €1,922 EUR ($2000 USD)!!!

compiling some mutual aid projects and nonprofits working in sudan. though depending on where you get your news you may not see very much coverage of the unfolding crisis, millions of people are in danger every day as the situation continues to deteriorate. i've been really astounded by the scale of your response to the earlier list of gazan initiatives, and i hope you extend the same support to these organizations too!

  • khartoum aid kitchen - currently running 12 community kitchen sites and supporting five others that collectively provide food for over 10,000 people
  • fill a heart - provides financial support to sudanese hospitals and families displaced in egypt. updates are available on their instagram.
  • sudan solidarity collective - supporting civil society organizations and providing psychological and educational programs for displaced people. can also donate through their paypal
  • darfur women action - runs programs for displaced women and girls
  • sudanese american physicians association - provides medical treatment and supports healthcare infrastructure
  • amal for women - currently focused on providing water, food, hygiene products, and shelter for displaced people. general projects include education programs for children, support and professional training for single mothers, and providing trauma care. also has a gofundme
  • hadhreen - provides food, water, solar panels for hospitals, children's educational programming, and a variety of other support services
  • hometax - provides necessities for displaced people, including food, shelter, and medical assistance. updates can be found on their instagram.
  • barana hanabneiho - originally focused on rebuilding and equipping schools, currently providing food, water, tents, mosquito nets, and weather-appropriate necessities to displaced people. they have an instagram and also accept donations through zeffy
  • saving algeneina initiative - provides a variety of necessities, including food, rain covers for tents, and medical care. works with displaced people in both sudan and chad.
  • sudanese red crescent society - runs health programs across all 18 states as well as delivering essential supplies
  • sadagaat - various initiatives including water stations and community kitchens
  • hope relief and rehabilitation for disabilities support (hrrds) - originally focused on disability justice programs. currently providing food, water, hygiene products, mobility aids, and other necessities with a focus on supporting disabled people and other vulnerable groups
  • medglobal's sudan emergency appeal - provides medical supplies, equipment for doctors, and fuel for hospitals
  • sudanese american medical association - provides food, water, and medical equipment, as well as training clinicians and sending extra doctors to hospitals
  • siha network - provides menstrual products and obstetric/gynecological care

as before, this is not an exhaustive list, so please feel free to add any similar initiatives or organizations you know of. and as always please donate whatever amount you can and share! every small action makes a difference, even if it feels inconsequential to you.

Our Story Through the Eyes of Ronza, the Six-Month-Old;

A story I drew for @zinaanqar

Ronza is the youngest child of Dina and Ahmed Alanqar, born amidst the Gaza's devestation. In all of the six months that she has lived so far, she has never known a day without the threat of weather, disease or explosions. Nobody should live this life, especially not a little baby.

But you can change that for her. You can donate just €5, and it will help this little girl and her family get a chance at a new beginning.

Even if you cannot donate, sharing this around will be a great asset in saving the lives of the Alanqar family

€83,248/€100,000 as of Dec 24th

Everyone loves winter and we loved winter too. We love the rainy weather, warm drinks and delicious food. We too were sitting in our warm homes...

but now, 12/22/2024, we are no longer the same. It is the second winter and we are in war, destruction, cold, and endless suffering.

The picture alone is enough to explain what we are suffering from 👇

we must reject the categorization of desi because it's construction is rooted in the the xenophobic construction of videsh and pardesh and its attendant notions of caste purity

The term kala pani refers to the taboo crossing of large expanses of water — in this case the Atlantic Ocean to come to the Caribbean — Mehta recasts this crossing as a positive and empowering move. According to the Hindu system of belief, crossing these large bodies of water meant “contamination and cultural defilement”, due to the ways in which such crossings disrupted caste, class, and tradition.

Michelle Ramlagan, Review of Diasporic (Dis)locations: Indo-Caribbean Women Writers Negotiate the Kala Pani by Brinda J Mehta

Scholars of ancient India have noted that a ban on sea travel is mentioned in the fifth-century BC sutra of Baudhayana, while the texts Manu (III. 158, 16–17) and Ausanasasmrti (V. 525–6) record that a brahman who had undertaken a sea voyage was considered a sinner, without, however, specifying that the individual would lose caste and/or become socially unfit.

[...]

In the nineteenth century, there are several recorded cases of prominent individuals facing punitive consequences following sea travel: Swami Vivekananda, returning from the 1893 Chicago gathering of world religions was barred access to a temple, and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was required to undergo an ‘expiatory ritual’ when he returned to India from South Africa in 1915. Most famously, the early nineteenth-century merchant, banker, industrialist and philanthropist Dwarkanath Tagore (grandfather of Rabindranath Tagore) ‘faced excommunication by the inner circle of his family’ following his return from his first trip to Europe in 1842.

The US-backed terrorist state of Israel killed Palestinian chef and co-founder of the Gaza Soup Kitchen, Mahmoud al-Madhoun.

Mahmoud was able to feed over 3,000 Palestinian civilians a day through the genocide.

Let's keep giving it all we've got for the Gaza Soup Kitchen. Israel has repeatedly targeted and killed those who have given service to the Gaza community.

Donate as much as you can or if you're unable to, share this post so it reaches more people! Any amount, even a dollar, can help the heroes of the Gaza Soup Kitchen to feed the people of Gaza.

YOU CAN HELP A FAMILY IN GAZA RIGHT NOW!

@anas-basilgaza is a highschool graduate with dreams of pursuing a degree in e-business and management and building a career. He enrolled in Khan Younis training center before it became a shelter for displaced palestinians and was bombed on January 24th 2024.

For 10 months he and his family had to live in cramped tents in Rafah where survival became a daily struggle. The famine which has ravaged northern Gaza has now started spreading south and basic aid and requirements are not being met. After 14 months of ethnic cleansing Gaza is probably in it's worst condition

I urge you, to please donate if you can. Donations to the fundraiser have been stagnating for the past few weeks, currently only 44% of their goal has been reached or roughly €12,808 / €29K

Please let's try to at least get the fundraiser to €13,500K by January.
