The man set aside his grief for the love of his life to RESCUE HIS MURDERERS FROM CERTAIN DEATH, because he knew they did not do what they did without a reason. A reason he never asks them for.

If Stede did not care, did not empathize, only gave a shit about Ed, he would have let them all die, ESPECIALLY the whining little jackass who tried to HAVE HIM EXECUTED. Instead he saves them.

Fuck right off.

Ed and Stede coming up with the most elaborate sexual fantasies/roleplay scenarios that have ever existed. Like. These are full three act plays with character arcs.
