My name is Laila, and I am writing to you from a place of deep despair. The conflict in Gaza has forced us from our home, and we now find ourselves in Khan Younis, struggling to survive. My mother is pregnant, and her life is in grave danger.

I feel utterly helpless and overwhelmed by our situation. There are moments when I wish for my own suffering to end, but my only hope now is to save my mother. I have started a campaign to raise funds for her evacuation and medical care.

I'm Laila Shaqoura, a displaced person from northern Gaza to the south, specifically the city of Rafah. Amid this ongoing aggression, there is no glimmer of hope except through you and your support for us. Let me tell you the story of my mother and her unborn child during this war.

Amid this destruction, my pregnant mother faces countless challenges. She suffers from malnutrition due to the lack of healthy food, which puts her and her unborn child at multiple health risks. The insufficient healthcare and weakened immunity have led to her contracting hepatitis, anemia, intestinal diseases, and preeclampsia. Additionally, the psychological pressure from the war and displacement exacerbates her suffering. The constant worry for the family's safety and the fear of the continuous intense bombing last night resulted in high blood pressure, imbalance, and fainting this morning. It was a terrible morning.

Despite the sounds of artillery, gunfire, bombing, fear, and anxiety, a new life continues to form inside my mother's womb. She carries the hope for the future, but the war has stolen her ability to dream. She not only carries a child but also the burdens and pains of war. The pain of her pregnancy is intensified by the weight of war and its sorrows. She carries life in her womb while war destroys life around her. Sometimes, we wonder: will this awaited child live in such a shattered world?

At this moment, I wonder if the war will take this awaited child from us before seeing the light of day.

Rafah is no longer safe, and the sounds of bombing intensify every night. There is no time to escape death. My mother's health is deteriorating. There is no healthcare. We want her to stay alive. This matter concerns the lives of two people (a mother and her child). Let's extend a helping hand to those who have lost everything. Your donation can give new life and hope for the future.

Today the IOF committed another massacre in Rafah, in the Southern Gaza strip, were they bomb€d tents of displaced families who were asked to flee South after being initially displaced. At least 50 were killed, and dozens injured, most of them women and children including babies! This area was explicitly designed for UNRWA and known as an area of humanitarian assistance. Israel is committing horrendous crimes day after day without any punishment.

Videos were surfacing today showing actual b€h€ad€d babies who were burnt from head to toe!

After our house was destroyed, our future and our education were destroyed, and we were displaced from north to south, which I call a safe area, and the house that was sheltering us was bombed, and we miraculously emerged from under the rubble, and we now live in a tent specifically in the west of the city of Rafah...

I am Laila Shaqura and my age. I was 18 years old, and I was studying in high school in the scientific section. I excelled in my studies, and I had talents like drawing and planning. This barbaric occupation destroyed our dreams and made us wish we could go back just to live one day before the war.

I am Laila Shaqura, a Palestinian, displaced from northern Gaza to the south due to the war.

We live in very difficult conditions here, especially after entering Rafah. There is no safe place to go. We now live in a tent west of the city of Rafah, where insects, garbage, and epidemics spread due to the lack of necessary treatments and clean drinking water. We were all infected with hepatitis and it was very difficult. In addition to that, the very high temperature here in the tent, the bombing and destruction everywhere, we live in terror here.

Our future and education have been destroyed, neither schools nor universities.

Amon was supposed to have finished high school this year, and then I would go to university and fulfill the dream of years, but unfortunately everything was destroyed. Our homes, our memories, and our childhood were destroyed.

Even the basic necessities of life have become unavailable.

In fact, we are struggling to survive.

There is no safe place and there is no solution but to leave the country, but unfortunately travel costs are very high.
