January 2 2020 - Anti-capitalist protesters in Antofagasta, Chile, are often joined by riot dogs; friendly street dogs who join up with protest marches to bark at the police, whom they hate. Antofa’s protesters got worried after they saw that one popular dog comrade, El Vaquita (Little Cow), looked injured when they saw him walking around town. Sadly, he wouldn’t let anyone catch him, so el Vaquita’s comrades came up with a plan.
They got to work and organised a fake protest march from revolution square to a local vet’s office. The plan worked and the riot dogs, including el Vaquita, joined up with the march, eager to start harassing some more riot police with their human comrades.
Arriving at their destination, the protesters and vets managed to keep el Vaquita calm and sedate him. The vets looked the wounded dog over and determined that his injuries were caused by buckshot from a riot police shotgun, but luckily they were able to patch el Vaquita up again.
