Watched Balto and Balto 2 again today. I loved these movies so much as a kid, they really inspired me to be an artist. I didn’t realize just how amazing the animation in the original Balto is.

A project for Seminar: the assignment was to create a textless comic based on one of 3 prompts. Mine was 'going out the front door' and I took great liberty with it. I started thinking what it means to 'go out the front door' in terms of leaving, escaping, becoming free etc and was able to use a concept that I'd been thinking about for a while about a stag and a wolf fighting.
This is what those character models I posted a week ago were for. There is a disclaimer for the content, because unfortunately, domestic abuse is something that many, many people have experienced and I wanted to give fair warning for those who might be sensitive to the topic.
Character Sketches for a short comic for class. I like these guys. They are nice looking human beings.
An illustration assignment that involved an actual client! For this, we had to design items for their kids-friendly website; we each got a theme and mine were 'myth and magic'. I tried to go for a broad, multi-cultural approach to how we think about magic and overall, I'm really happy with a majority of my items.
