alright listen up i worked at a library for several years and the people who would return like - a brand new book with an eviscerated spine or like used tissues inside it or a book that is actively sopping wet and they're like 'oh i checked it out in that condition' and the library is honor-bound to take their word for it ( ':
you know you can tell the library when you check it out - they'll fix it when you bring it back - otherwise please own up and pay for a new copy ;-; like come on man
