May I present *drumroll* my first wangxian fic! Which is mostly crack as tradition (my sense of humour) dictates. I know Wei Wuxian may not actually be bad at cooking but coming up with disasters he can cause with his cooking in fics? *chef's kiss*
I would also credit this fic to @gh0st-0f-luke's amazing GBBO and cooking blog fics, without those, I'd never have been inspired enough to try kitchen disaster Wei Wuxian! (Thanks Cat, you absolute legend!). AND without @miffmiff's sense of humour, crackfics, cheerleading and @talk-danmei-to-me's prompt, I literally wouldnt have moved my lazy hands to type a single word so thank you two! It warms my heart that even in the original/previous timelines, Cheng Xiaoshi believed in Lu Guang claiming he had an ability.
Like there's never been any doubt in his mind. It's so unbelievable. Even Liu Xiao was told he was speaking bullshit when he claimed to have an ability (when the Xiang dude shouldn't have said that shit because of Liu Xiao's position in his family... rich people greed shit).
And yet Cheng Xiaoshi didn't have to be told twice to believe Lu Guang wholeheartedly. To the point he asks him to use his ability to help with something that means so much to him. The trust? 😭
Like yes I know he had proof of Lu Guang successfully using it but it still sounds so so fantastical???
idk if anyone noticed or not but the red threads (timelines? events in different timelines?) over Lu Guang read BRIDON in all caps...
IT'S INEVITABLE THEY GO THERE HE CAN'T UNTANGLE THAT MANY THREADS OF FATE.
How many can he untangle how many should he break to avert whatever tragedy's coming for them? Which ones should he destroy to get rid of the Bridon arc events? He doesnt know so they must go
The threads are tangled together in such complex patterns to form the letters I wonder how much time he'd need to trace where each comes from, untangle them without affecting others and all... but he simply has NO time! So Doomed Yaoi Honeymoon it is i guess😭
