With respect to author E. K. Johnston, any poll about fic length which has as its first two options “500 words” and “5,000 words” is completely skipping the important ecosystem of 1,000 - 2,000 oneshots that illustrate missing character moments or tell little plots or feature the most blindingly vicious angst you’ve ever seen or have the action choreography of a john wick movie

Voyager fans will be like ‘I know a place’ and then take you to a pitch black void that reflects back only your mental illness(es). Also there are salamanders for some reason but they keep calling them lizards.

I know this must already be on Tumblr here somewhere but I can't freaking find it, so:

Siddig at a con saying, "They put Bashir with Jadzia because that was expected, but we didn't spark on screen. And then there's this man...who is a lizard...that sparks all over the place."

Amazing, show-stopping, spectacular.

The pointy sideburns being part of Starfleet regulation is funny because then you have to imagine Chakotay dramatically shaving his after joining the Maquis and then officially deciding to start to grow them again after joining Voyager.

Oh my god I had to check “Investigations”, the second season episode where Tom pretends to leave the ship to flush out the Kazon spy.

The first thing he did, before even leaving the ship, was shave his sideburns.

Then he returns to the ship to appear on “A briefing with Neelix” and they’re back.

I know this is just him taking off some glued on fake hair but the implications for canon is just hilarious. Canonically these sideburns are apparently super important and symbolic, since you won’t even wait for them to grow back but immediately go to the Doc to help you grow the hair out.

In the comic book adaptation of Ashes of Eden, Kirk and Scotty have shaved their Starfleet Sideburns as they try to fit in in a rough and tumble neutral space station.

I can't think of any place I'd rather be, or any people I'd rather be with. ...but then there are the Horrors.

Or: Everybody dies! What a romp. Canon-typical suffering, now ultra-concentrated. A tribute to our chaos faves & the little ship that could for the inaugural Voyager Week.
