i don’t know how to tell people that deriving pleasure - sexual pleasure included! - from art* is good actually, and that creating specific kind of art “just” because you find it hot or whatever is just as good a reason as any, and you don’t actually need some “deep and meaningful” reason to create art about things. pleasure - sexual pleasure included - is not the devil, it is not Bad and shameful, and it’s not any less valid of a reason to create something than because you want to, idk, explore the depths of the human consciousness or something

* art here includes writing

i’m glad this post resonated with people because i lost a years-long mutual over it when i made it lmao

one of my worst writing sins is abusing my power to create compound words. i cannot write the sentence "The sun shone as bright as honey that afternoon." no. that's boring. "The sun was honey-bright that afternoon" however? yes. that sentence is dope as fuck. i do not care if "honey-bright" is a word in the english dictionary. i do not care if the sentence is grammatically correct. i will not change. i will not correct my erred ways. the laws of the english language are mine.

If they were ever make The Locked Tomb TV adaptation, I fully believe that the only way would be to insert as many shitty visual memes as possible. If there ever is a TLT series, I want to be able to take a screenshot which is an exact re-creation of a meme. The guy looking back at the girl in the red dress, but it's Gideon looking at Dulcinea. Harrow should open a page on a book of necromancy theorem and it should be the Loss jpg. At least one communal meal at the Mithraeum should look exactly like that two women yelling at a cat meme.

Idk exactly how to explain this but the softness of real wool and real linen is very different from the artificial softness of polyester “sherpa”, fuzzy faux-fur, spongey acrylic knits and people have gotten too used to the soft plastics and now associate wool with “itchy” and linen with rough and cotton with “too heavy” and then go and wear 100% polyester fleecy sweatshirts and say it’s so warm and cozy but actually they’re just staticky cooking in their sweat locked inside a plastic membrane and you are paying too much to be wearing filaments of petroleum products and the money isn’t going to the people sewing them either. I’m saying you all need to touch grass and the grass in this situation is good quality textiles made of natural fibres.

Sorry I didn't respond to your text right away- when the constant demand of staying connected gets too much for me I throw my phone into the woods. That weird text you got earlier was from a possum. Sorry if she was rude.
