Oh Snap!
That camera is best is that camera that is with you when the image presents itself. More and more that camera is a cell phone and cell phones are getting more and more sophisticated and capable. I have Nikon equipment that wears me down when I travel. Such a DSLR with extra lenses and filters and media cards will slow you down and you might miss the shot because you don't have quite the right lens on when the shutter should be pressed. I have switched to a Samsung Galaxy camera with no extras that fits snugly in my pocket and can be ready for a shot in an instant. I am slowing coming around to face the fact that my years with the Nikons have been misspent because I concentrated on equipment and not the image. This little and very portable camera allows me to look for the elusive image and not be concerned with lenses, filters, tripods or lighting equipment. GPS (Grab-Point-Shoot) is the name of the game for me now. I have been very satisfied with the results although I do use the Nikon for portrait sittings and still life photography. It is no longer my 'walk-around' camera.
