Unfortunately, she will not be having a proper celebration. Nour has a congenital heart condition which also stunts her growth, and this requires monthly treatments to manage. Her mother Ibtisam and brother Omar were able to pay for it before.
But then the IOF attacked. Their home was destroyed, and they were displaced. Her brother Omar was martyred by the occupation, and the family was left completely without a source of income. They have barely been able to survive, and it has become extremely difficult to afford Nour’s medication.
Now, Nour lives with her family in a tent. They are frequently displaced by IOF ground attacks, and are also exposed to raw winter weather, including low temperatures and heavy rain.
Nour is immunocompromised due to her condition, and the exposure to harsh weather and to pollutants caused by the IOF’s destruction of sanitation infrastructure means she is frequently sick. She is sick right now, and extremely fatigued.
Earlier this month, we made a post asking for your support in attaining Nour’s treatment. Unfortunately, the funds that were raised had to be diverted after the family’s tent was damaged. The tent is repaired, but Nour is without funds for her treatment again. Without this treatment, she will face a cascade of serious health problems that will make her even more vulnerable to sickness!
Please help give Nour a little hope on her birthday! She can’t have a party like she used to, but it would make the day brighter for her if she knew her monthly treatment was taken care of. She needs this treatment to grow healthily, and without it, she will face serious health problems throughout her life.
Please share this post, follow Nour’s sister Noha @nohaibrahims-blog, and make your own posts on Tumblr and across all your social media accounts with this link: https://gofund.me/ab691b04

Thanks to your support, Nour was able to attain her medicine yesterday❤️Thank you so much
Unfortunately, it came too late. Nour’s health took a dramatic downturn today, and she had to go to the hospital. There, the doctor said that because she had gone so long between monthly treatments, several of Nour’s heart valves have closed up. She now requires an operation to save her heart.
Nour is feeling very weak and sick, but more than anything, she is heartbroken. She asked her sister Noha @nohaibrahims-blog “Why don't people love me? Why do they want me to die? I am a child and I want to live a happy life like other people!” She feels hopeless, like her life doesn’t matter to anyone.
I know this family personally, and they are wonderful people. Nour’s older sister Noha is a dear friend of mine. They have been through so much, having lost their father to IOF attack in 2014, their home to the IOF in 2023, and their brother Omar. I can verify the truth of their situation, and that the whole family is feeling very, very depressed right now.
Please help her family pay for the operation she needs in order to save her life. Additionally, your support will give Nour hope and show her that her life does matter to the world.
Thank you❤️
it will always be telling when something like this happens & so many self-proclaimed activists will skirt around concrete statements of judgement & guilt UNTIL an arrest is made. then all bets are off. The most recent arrest for the UHC CEO Assassination was made under suspicion, and yet I'm still seeing people refer to him as "the shooter" without a second thought. So many people are purporting & accepting the alleged guilt of someone simply on the account of an arrest being made-- a form of violence often directed towards people of color and other marginalized populations time and time again. Newsflash: The Police just arrest people, even when a crime hasn't been committed. The idea that 'arrest = guilt' both ruins and ends lives; better to kill the cop inside your head than to uphold systemic violence that kills thousands upon thousands.
Even the cops aren't calling him a suspect in the murder, just a person of interest. i.e., they think he might be somewhat related to the crime but they have absolutely no evidence tying him or the gun to the scene. And even if they do find that and charge him, that's still no evidence of his guilt, the government still has to prove that.
Also consider that people are routinely arrested - and convicted - on evidence at least this spotty. Probably the only thing stopping the NYPD from outright declaring they got the killer here is the high-profile and sympathetic nature of the shooting.
NYPD just charged Mangione with the murder, though little has changed. First, there's still nothing public linking him or the gun to the crime scene, though the ID and manifesto are pretty suspicious and might be enough to convict depending on the jury. There's not a lot to go on to determine the truth of what the police have or if they have anything else they're not sharing, so it'll be interesting to watch as we get closer to trial. It's far from certain that this man is the shooter, even if it looks likely.
Second, and more importantly, digging up everything about the man's personal life is still part and parcel of the violence of an arrest, whether or not he did it, whether or not they convict him. The violence of the legal system does not start and end at prisons - investigation, arrest, trial, sentencing, and appeal are all incredibly violent processes, and putting a person's life on display after an arrest is an all-too-common way this violence plays out. Kill the cop inside your head.
i think im an idiot
whenever im refilling my zippo, if i accidentally spill some lighter fluid on my hand i’ll just light my hand on fire for a sec and shake the fire off but this time it dripped down my arm and in the 1.4 seconds between lighting the zippo and put it up to my arm i didnt think “wait wont this burn my arm hair” and so now my arm smells like burnt arm hair for the rest of the evening.

I am helping Omar with another goal, please donate and share.
Omar is asking for the donations through paypal because withdrawing money from gofundme can take days
It's not usual for my father currently living on devices inside intensive care. Please my father's lapse 😭💔 I don't want to hurt a lot while he's dying in front of my eyes. I'm in your hands. I won't forgive if you can do something and you won't do 💔🙏🏻
Feeling incredibly sick and angry about everything. I’ll go about my day and try to be normal and then it just ambushes me and honestly the only people keeping me sane rn are the Arabs who’ve voiced similar experiences and are staying the course and being vocal despite all the attempts to basically blame everything that’s wrong with this country on us
Guys please donate to the Sameer Project, it’s a grassroots initiative to buy supplies in bulk and distribute them over as many families as possible. It’s doing so much good and can help so many people at once so donating to it and spreading the word is the least we can do
people dont really read this anymore so ill skip that. THIS IS URGENT. AHMED NEEDS DONATIONS SO HIM AND HIS MOM CAN SURVIVE. Please dont give up on him!!!!!
My friend, if you cannot donate, repost it. It will help us reach a larger number of donors.
I had to write YEARS of posts about British Clownfall and South Korea just straight up speed ran theirs a mere seven minutes longer than it takes to watch Wicked
I literally just got back from seeing Wicked what's going on??
Oh, well, so as the pre-movie ads were playing, Korea's desperately unpopular president decided he didn't like his fellow party creeps getting impeached for crimes and his shitty budget not being approved, so he threw a spectacular temper tantrum, accused all opposition party politicians of being North Korea sympathisers trying to overthrow democracy, and DECLARED MARTIAL LAW.
<nobody-liked-that.jpeg>
Even his own party opposed him doing this, which tells you a lot about the staggering stupidity of this move.
NOW! Martial law can be annulled by a majority vote in the National Assembly, but part of the terms of martial law mean that political activities are banned to prevent such a vote taking place. The minimum number for a majority is 190. So, the stage becomes set - all parties are now desperate to get 190 total members into the Assembly, while President Yoon Suk-Yeol is now desperate to keep them out.
About an hour into you watching the film Wicked, the military tried to lock down the National Assembly building and disperse protesters who gathered in front of it. Soldiers tried to gain entry, but were humiliatingly blocked by party officials who sprayed them with fire extinguishers. Instead they decided to therefore block entry into the building, to keep 190 (or more) people from voting.
As you watched the film Wicked move into its third act, soldiers tried to move into the crowd of protesters, and were politely but firmly denied. Here is footage of an embarassed soldier being rotated and repelled by the crowd.
Meanwhile, Democratic Party members Lee Jae-myung and Lee Seong-yoon, blocked by the army, literally climbed over a five foot fence to get into the National Assembly so they could go and vote.
Finally, as you watched the credits of the film Wicked roll, the 190th necessary member brushed off twigs and staggered into the chamber, and so the vote was immediately called rather than waiting a single minute longer. The vote to annul martial law took place and was passed 190-0. It was completely unanimous, including members of the ruling People Power Party.
Martial law ended 2 hours and 48 minutes after it began.
Protesters are now calling for the impeachment of Yoon Suk-yeol. Military generals are milling about going "Whaaat? Martial law? Oh dear me no, I knew nothing about that at all, I have no idea how three military helicopters and a troop of soldiers got to the National Assembly so fast..." We shall see how soon the clowns fall.
So. That happened.
Two days ago, the occupation bombed a car belonging to the World Kitchen workers. This is a deliberate killing of those who help people, provide them with food, and save them from hunger. This is what happened previously with the four European volunteers who entered Gaza to help people... The occupation used all methods of genocide and starvation with the people of Gaza and it is still doing so. We are literally dying every day. Please help my family from hunger.
Thank you to the supporters and all the friends who help in reblogging, they are the real friends. I am grateful to all of you. My sincere appreciation to you.
The celebrity Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavors being some of the best ones is like the retail equivalent of having to go to a restaurant and order a rootin tootin yeehaw cowboy burger or something
The Tonight Dough is a downright hedonistic ice cream flavor concept but in order to obtain it you have to purchase a pint of ice cream with Jimmy Fallon's face on it and then see him in your freezer every day for a week
why are there so many tonight dough posts

@esamadnan19 is a lot like me, he's a lot like a lot of us. Issam describes himself as a reserved, reclusive, independent person who would do anything for his family. So can you imagine how difficult it is to ask for financial help? No one should be in this situation. No one should be trying to survive behind walls while being hunted by israeli bombs. Issam, just before the genocide, married his forever love and now that home they shared together has been destroyed. Winter is here, and they are trying to survive. They need food, water and shelter! Please, consider donating to this beautiful couple. Every dollar counts! Even $5 / $10 can make a difference if we all contribute. Thank you and bless you. ㅤ𐙚♡
