for me its giving the trolls skin color that matches their blood color, idk why it bothers me so much but it does, same with giving them tails, like claws are fine but tails are weird

The skin matching blood colors always bothers me because they never commit to making it the exact same hue. It's always a lighter version. Probably to avoid redface, brownface, or yellowface for characters like Aradia, Karkat, Tavros, and Sollux. But at that point, people should just stick to it or admit these trolls are rhinos. Fandom thinks they are like cats or cows or fish, but no. They are fucking rhinos and should make them accurate to what they are.

I always hate whenever someone draws the trolls giving cow-like tails. Like, did they forget they were BUGS? Even trolls given cowtails are not even close to similar speices or animals they are with like Karkat having a CRAB DAD and being the sign of Cancer that is represented as a CRAB. I don't see people giving him lobster or crustacean-like traits. Another I hate is the whole all trolls teeth being yellow despite we see them mostly white on the base webcomic. Are they trying to say all trolls have bad teeth and their breath stinks? Then again, considering these trolls are the same kind that eats BUGS as their main source of food and blood can also be used as condiments which can count as cannibalism, I wouldn't be surprised that on top of them being born out of incestuous slurry, that biologically, the trolls are all fucked up inbreeds. Must suck for people shipping humans with trolls having to think that unless either: A. The humans (and Carapacians and Consorts if applied to Earth C) must be tolerant to troll culture and join their troll lover in their customs without objection. Which includes things like celebrating 12th Perigee's Eve by actually decorating literal POOP FECES SHIT and the violent nature when it comes to kismesistude. or B. The trolls need to realize all that they learned from Alternia was bad and should never practice them ever again. They must adopt to human culture because it is much safer and less harmful. The trolls either learn the faults of their beliefs on their own or humans can forcibly correct them.

TikTok Homestuck is a stinky place to be honest with you. It's mainly made up of hormonal teenagers who make controversial and unneeded opinions on an app where the longest video you could make is about a minute long without people scrolling past it. You truly are one of the last surviving Homestuck strongholds.

TikTok in general for fandom spaces is a mistake on its own, let's be real. There are other blogs that talk about Homestuck that can be just as critical or analytical about the series/fandom, better than I ever could. I just happen to be a bit more vocal about certain topics like Davekat that just happen to rile some people up to push me on the spot.

Did you see what was going down with Befriendus on Twitter? Basically they recently released the Kankri and Meulin update, and people were complaining that Meulin wasn't fat 💀 once again Homestuck fans being too attached to their headcannons and dismissing an artist's hardwork

People are really up their own asses for their headcanons. Even drawing something on model is considered a crime too.

Dude we are never getting acts 3 and 4 of Hiveswap, let alone the sequel videogames. If that gossip abt Hussie being in debt from printing those garbage epilogues is true then it’s more likely they’re gonna call it off, post the dev art or whatever other scraps they have, and call it a day.

Also only tangentially related but I think the HS Kickstarter should be a case study for anyone doing a campaign as much as Brandon Sanderson’s kickstarter is. The HS KS was similarly wildly successful to the BS KS, but the sheer level of mismanagement on Hussie’s part fumbled the bag so badly it might as well have never been funded at all.

If WhatPumpkin will try to announce Hiveswap Act 3 at SAHcon, their likely excuse is that they had used the sales from the Karkat Makeship plushie to help fund it, despite it was never made clear if buying it was suppose to help continue making Hiveswap. I wouldn't even be surprised if the Karkat plushies earnings would have been used for Homestuck 2/Beyond Canon instead knowing HICU's Patreon is not working out either.

Gio has done a lot of coverage about the Hiveswap fiasco. But either people have forgotten about it, deny it, or didn't hear of it. Unless you mean like an actual video to make it easier for those who don't want to read.
