Oh I'm a "dude" when you read my bio but just 5 minutes ago you were in my dms calling me an ugly garbage woman who eats trash
i’ve had these posts looping like this for hours
Just finished Spec Ops: The Line. Conflicted feelings. On one hand, it's extremely critical of the US Military and its war crimes, with minor criticisms of the CIA and white saviourism. On the other hand, it feels... distanced from those critiques. Like the people you're fighting are a "rogue" Battalion, and Walker's unit are basically going rogue just being there. The CIA are there to "stop the baddies". Like they come so close to criticising the military juuuuust shy of condemning the actual institution.
I did like how the game handled the white phosphorous part. I thought it was clever how they showed you the view from a thermal-cam, distancing Walker and the player from their crimes. I liked the part where you had to choose between scaring off the civilians or shooting them in anger because they killed one (1) of your squadmates... after you killed countless people, innocent and otherwise. I feel that the ludonarrative dissonance here is intentional.
One issue I have with a lot of games critical of the military or war in general (that contain combat), is that they're usually like... also mechanically kind of glorifying war? Maybe that's a ridiculous criticism to level at the industry. But it reminds me of how a lot of anti-war films still end up kind of glorifying war. Idk, it's never not going to kind of rub me the wrong way.
Anyways, I still think it was worth playing. Even MGSV chickened out of it's war crime plot, so it was kind of nice to see it play out in all it's horror. I DID THINK THOUGH THAT IT WAS RIDICULOUS TO GIVE ME AN ACHIEVEMENT FOR USING WHITE PHOSPHOROUS.
- For 458 days, we have been witnessing a devastating war that has destroyed people, trees, and stones—nothing has been spared. For 458 days, we have been suffering from death, displacement, cold, lack of water and food, loss, and a great deal of pain. Instead of going to school or spending time with my family and friends, I spend my time trying to collect donations for myself and my family members to survive and provide the bare minimum of basic necessities, which are almost non-existent due to the imposed blockade and the ongoing war. Everything is extremely expensive.
- We launched this donation campaign a while ago in an attempt to save ourselves, and we have so far collected 71,270 euros out of 100,000 euros. With all this amount and with your help, we have managed to stay alive until now. However, we still desperately need your support. The escalation has increased, and the occupation has begun targeting civilian areas more than before, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and injured people daily.
- We do not want to become the new names on the lists of the dead and injured. You are our last hope to save us. Donate even 10 or 5 euros; every donation matters to us and brings us closer to our short-term goal of 75,000 euros before the end of this week. Please donate.
- I really don't know what to do to get you to donate to us. How can I tell you that I need all the help please if you have anything to offer I would be grateful.
We went through a difficult day, there was shelling near our displacement site in Deir al-Balah. The situation here is tragic, although we survived the shelling, we did not escape hunger and the bitter cold. Food prices are very expensive, the price of a kilo of flour ranges from 6 dollar All the necessities of life are very expensive. Also, when it rains, water seeps into us and we are exposed to drowning, as happened the previous two days.
Yesterday the temperature was very low in America, it reached -11 degrees.
It was very cold, as my friends in America told me... ، I hope everyone feels warm and none of you get cold.
Meanwhile, you can imagine that the Palestinians in Gaza are also exposed to low temperatures, but the difference is that they live in tents and there are no ways to heat them or blankets to protect them from the cold.
My family is also in the same situation and most of them are sick because of the severe cold. I hope you can help us protect them from this severe nightmare ، To help my family from here
Our dreams have been destroyed, and we have nothing left...😞
🫂You're our last hope in this life🫂
I'm Lama from Gaza, I'm 24 years old, and my husband is Mohammad... We got married in 2022 in a house full of love and happiness. Our house was beautiful, we chose everything in it carefully... We were waiting for the end of the day to go there after a tiring day of work, but the occupation did not leave us. 😔😭💔
This house was bombed with all hatred. Here we are after the genocide. We have nothing... We lost our house, our work, and our car.😭😞
We were displaced to Rafah in a tent that could not accommodate 5 people, and after the displacement from Rafah, we were displaced to Mawasi Khan Yunis again. It was a very difficult period... but now we are in Mawasi Khan Yunis in a tent that does not protect us from the cold of winter or the heat of summer.😞😭
This is our tent, its floor is made of cardboard, as you can see, and I suffer from severe eczema due to the pollution of the air and the materials used, and the medicine is very expensive.😭💔
Urgent: My husband needs a very necessary operation and medication. Please help my husband in order for his health to improve. He is in pain.😞😭🫂🙏🙏
Help us and donate to us. You are our last hope and the lifeline of this life. 🫂🙏
We need you...Donate to us and save what is left of us.😞🙏🙏

🚨 We Need Your Kindness to Survive 🚨
Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.
We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
Our Current Situation:
💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. 🍞 Basic Needs: Food and water are becoming harder to afford with rising prices and scarce resources. 📚 Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. 😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
How You Can Help:
I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.
What This Means to Us:
Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude, Mosab Elderawi and Family ❤️

🌟 We’re getting closer to our goal! 🌟 With your incredible support, we’ve already raised $1,673 out of our goal of $20,000! ❤️
Every contribution or reblog helps bring us closer to a brighter future. Thank you for standing with us in this journey.
Even $5 can make a huge difference! 🙏
Okay so I was talking to my wife last night, and it came up that she had never, in her life, been bitten by ants. I, a frequent target of hymenopteran violence as a child, was utterly baffled by this, and after asking my polycule it appears that around exactly 50% of people have been bitten by ants. So.
while you’re here i’d like to draw your attention to @alkliliyfamliy and their campaign! they’re only 11% to their goal, and even a little bit helps!
Help me donate to help a whole family now dying of cold and hunger in tents

My name is Hala, from Deir al-Balah, Gaza. I live with my four children, Abdul, Jaber, Mohammed, and Lian, and my mother-in-law, in a never-ending nightmare. Our home was bombed, and everything we had turned to ashes. Now, we live in a burnt house, with no safety or hope..
My husband, Adham, is stuck in Egypt, and I face this torment alone. My children suffer from hunger and illness, and we have nothing to protect them. Life here is unbearably difficult; every day is a struggle for survival.
I urgently need your help to raise $35,000 so we can escape, as each person requires $5,000. This money isn’t just numbers; it’s our hope for a new life away from pain and suffering. We are human beings who deserve to live, so please don’t let us drown in this nightmare.
Help us, as we are in desperate need of your support.

ONLY 17%, PLEASE HELP HOWEVER YOU CAN!!
I am speaking to you from the heart of a mother who is watching her son collapse before her eyes
My heart bleeds with pain for Adam whose weak body cannot bear the catastrophic environment in which he lives
He lost 15 kilograms of his weight due to the lack of special food for a disabled child who suffers from difficulty swallowing and digestion
Now he suffers from a health problem that has affected his respiratory system as a result of the dust, destruction and polluted environment surrounding him, as he cannot do without a vaporizer in light of the horrific high prices and power outages, as I walk kilometers in his wheelchair so that he can receive treatment in the hospital
Urgent distress call to help me buy a vaporizer and provide solar energy to save my son from the troubles he is exposed to on a daily basis
He suffers from muscle spasms due to the lack of medicine, as he needs a medicine called (Kepra) that he takes in two doses daily, morning and evening
Imagine with me, O human, that you have a disabled child and you stand helpless, unable to provide him with food, medicine or shelter, as we live In a tent that looks like a grave

I am Inas, a mother of two young children: Muhammad, 7 years old, and Hala, 5 years old. They should have been living their childhood like all children—safe and warm in the embrace of their father. But the war has stolen that dream from us😭😭😭
Six months ago, my husband Anas, a kind-hearted man who endured a life of poverty, was killed by a random shell while on his way to work as a taxi driver. Since that tragic day, I’ve been left to carry the unbearable weight of life alone.
I held a diploma in international secretarial studies and was about to start a job to help support my family. But the war shattered not only our home but also my hopes and dreams. We’ve been displaced six times and now live in a tent that offers no shelter from the bitter cold or the ever-looming fear.
My young children face relentless hunger that weakens their fragile bodies and a cold that knows no mercy for their small hearts. Each day, their cries for warmth and food grow louder, and each day, I feel more helpless to provide them with even the basics of life💔😭😭
I appeal to your humanity, to your compassion. We need your help to survive, to find a safe shelter, and to feed my children. Your generosity could be the reason Muhammad and Hala continue to live and find hope amidst this darkness🥹
Please, help me keep the light of these innocent children from being extinguished by this cruel world
