the key to understanding kermit is that line from the original muppet series where lesley anne warren is like "i thought you were the only person here who wasn't crazy" and kermits like "me not crazy? i hired the others" that guy loves chaos. he loves crazy shit, and he loves being the guy who has to handle the crazy shit. he deliberately creates these circumstances! he puts himself in these positions! and then he's like "i cant believe youre making me do this." anyway that frog is more human than any of us

genuine advice for parents and family members of trans people:

your child/relative's gender has nothing to do with you whatsoever.

they're not transitioning to "hurt" you. they're not identifying this way to rebel or make you look bad. they are not trans because they hate you. they are not trans to spite you. their gender is their business.

if you're not cis to spite other people, trans people aren't trans to spite others, either. if you are cis to spite other people, that's your problem, but trans people do not identify as trans, come out and/or transition just to harm someone else. it's a totally personal journey

being possessive over your child is one thing, but especially when it comes to policing how they dress, act, and what genders they socialize with. this is pointless, controlling behavior. there's no way to explain it other than policing- literal cop behavior

enough is enough with parents and family members of trans people taking their trans relative's gender personally. leave them alone. let them experience gender freely and openly just as you do. if your gender isn't a problem, neither is theirs.

sometimes i get worried i don't make clear how wholeheartedly and intensely i love and appreciate every time someone puts tags in the reblogs of my posts. like it could be funny stuff or just a little compliment or just talking about whatever and i read every word like it's the newspaper because i think it's just lovely that people want to share their thoughts and words somewhere in my post

Clean home checklist:

  • "Do the laundry" as if doing laundry doesn't have 27 individual steps that each require other tasks to get done. Each task runs the risk of starting additional secret tasks.
  • "Organize kitchen" my brain has malware and it's overheating. CPU at 100%. There are no executives at my function
