Imagine waking up every day to a nightmare that doesn't end. Your livelihood, your home, your children's safety—everything you once had—is reduced to rubble.

@ahmadomar0

Story written by @visionsofaselfmademan

For Ahmed Al-Habil, a fisherman from Gaza, this is not just a thought experiment—it’s his reality. Ahmed once lived a simple, dignified life by the sea, supporting his family of six. The sea was his solace and his source of sustenance. But in an instant, his dreams and stability were destroyed. His fishing boat, his job, and his home were obliterated in the chaos of war. Left with nothing but faith and hope, Ahmed is now grappling with an unimaginable struggle.

Since October 7th, Ahmed, his wife, four young children, and his elderly parents have endured relentless displacement—fleeing from Nuseirat to Khan Younis, to Rafah, and now to a tent in Deir al-Balah. With each move, they have faced hunger, malnutrition, and the suffocating fear of violence. His children—Omar (10), Khadija (9), Ali (6), and Zain (3)—are deprived of the innocence of childhood, their laughter replaced by cries of hunger and cold. Ahmed's 72-year-old father battles chronic diseases, and his 70-year-old mother suffers from diabetes and debilitating spinal problems, compounding the family’s hardship.

Yet, amid this devastation, Ahmed’s resilience shines. He is pleading for help to rebuild a life of dignity and peace—a life where his children can play without fear, his parents can receive the care they need, and his family can once again dream of a brighter future.

Your donation today could be the light Ahmed and his family desperately need in this darkness. Every contribution, no matter how small, can help them secure food, medicine, and the resources to move toward stability. Let’s come together to give Ahmed’s family a chance to live with dignity and hope. You can be the hand that helps them rise from the rubble.

You can donate to Ahmed's GoFundMe campaign [HERE]

This campaign has been vetted by association. @aya2mohammed (#166 on [the verified fundraiser list] vetted by el-shab-hussein and nabulsi) has stated that Ahmed (@ahmed-omar0, @ahmedomer9) is his brother. See screenshot below and also this post [here] for proof.

🚨 URGENT UPDATE (12/30/24):

We received this update from Ahmed and his family:

Ahmed Al-Habil is facing yet another devastating challenge as his family struggles to survive. The recent storms and relentless rain have torn apart the tent they were relying on for shelter, leaving them completely exposed to the harsh winter cold. With no safe place to stay, Ahmed and his family are now battling the freezing temperatures, which have turned their already dire situation into an immediate crisis.

Ahmed's campaign has been receiving limited donations, and time is running out. He has reached out with a heartfelt plea:

"My friend, the storm and rain tore our tents apart, and now there is no good shelter, and we are dying from the cold. I need a tent now. Please, if you can help me, help me."

This is a call to action for all of us. Ahmed’s resilience and determination to protect his family have been unwavering, but he cannot do it alone. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help provide the shelter and warmth this family so desperately needs.

Please share Ahmed’s story, donate if you can, and help amplify his voice. 🙏🚨🇵🇸

!!! Palestinians in my asks who need d0nati0ns !!!

Hello everyone I have gotten a lot of asks from Palestinians and at this point there are so many to answer individually I thought it would be better to make a proper post for all of them at once. I encourage all of you to pick at least one campaign, donate and reblog this post. Even if it’s five dollars these people have said a little goes a long way. Most of these people are verified, but the ones who are not I trust.

@mohammednasers-blog is only 17 and still a high school student. Him and his family have been displaced four times. He is currently running his own campaign, not only to help his family evacuate from Gaza but also to complete his education.

@mohiy-gaza is currently looking to evacuate Gaza with his chronically ill mother. He is 23 and has just finished University.

@ehabayyad23 - Ehab has a family of 20 members who are all looking to evacuate

@fatma93-gaza - Fatma is a mother of five children from northern gaza. Oldest is 12. Has been displaced 17 times. Youngest girl has been weaned off milk early because there is an unavailability of milk.

@naseranam225 - Israa is a new mother whose youngest child Enaam was born less than two months ago and is evacuating in order for the children to grow up in a safe environment.

@noorabd1992 - Nour is a new father who’s wife gave birth to his second son only four months ago. Family has been displaced seven times.

@free-gaza2 - Doaa used to work in Palestinian hand embroidery. Her workshop in gaza was destroyed. She is in Egypt now but currently wants donations for a new workshop to build her livelihood in embroidery again.

@safaa18mero - safaa was a student before the genocide, and she recently gave birth to a child in the middle of it.

@doaaomar1234 - Doaa is a mother with an autistic child who she is in Egypt with. She is currently still trying to evacuate the rest of her family and get treatment to help her child have a good quality of life.

@fedao - Fidaa is in a family of five who are looking to evacuate after more than 282 days of displacement

@salahaldinahhorsblog - Salahhaldin is a father with three daughters. He has obtained a masters degree in finance and was aiming to advance his career before the genocide. He lived in Belgium for six months before returning to gaza to make sure his daughters weren’t alone.

@bilalassadabedrou - Bilal is a student and a software developer. He plans to evacuate to Egypt and then search for another country to continue his studies

@Hins76178 Hani’s child Razan has gone deaf due to the sounds of explosions and missiles and needs a cochlear implant. She aims to evacuate in order to seek that treatment.

@kefahfamily - Kifah has lost her husband, a nurse who was martyred early on and it has deeply affected her and her children.

@alaak2025 - Alaa is an engineer with two children, she has evacuated with them but is now looking for donations to rebuild her life from scratch.

@malakabed - Malak is a medical student who has been displaced more than 20 times seeking safety. His brother was martyred while trying to fetch water for him and his family. He wants to evacuate with the rest of his family and continue his medical studies.

PLEASE SHARE! PLEASE DONATE! DO ANYTHING YOU CAN!

!!! UPDATES TO THIS POST !!!

More people have sent me messages asking for help!!! Please help any one you can and keep spreading this post

If you can’t d0nate then PLEASE amplify these peoples stories and encourage others to do so.

EVEN MORE PEOPLE HAVE REACHED OUT TO ME !!!

There’s only so much I can do to help as I’m currently unemployed! The least I or anyone else can do is share, please do so and especially d0nate to any of these if you have the means.

@ahmedsobeh2009 (tagging is disabled but you can search this family up!)

@ahmed—basil (tagging is disabled but you can still find the blog!)

@mohammedjshamia (tagging is disabled but the blog can still be searched)

These people all deserve a life worth living !!! They have a chance with you !! Thank you

ANOTHER UPDATE !!!

These requests come in very quickly. Please keep it going, and thank you to everyone who has continued to share or donate to these people who need the hope and the support to rebuild their lives. I encourage you seeing this round of people, and all the others you can see in the list beforehand to look for anyone lower on funds than the others, donate, look out for them, and share the hell out of their posts for their campaigns!
Look at these watermelon macarons aren't they lovely

Apologies for my absence, there are more people in my asks and my messages that need our help!

It has been the holidays and up in the northern hemisphere including Gaza it is Winter! These families will be struggling to stay warm and fed and that can be a difficult thing to deal with at a time when the rest of the world is celebrating and anticipating the new year.

Please make the lives of these people easier and do anything you can! Even if it's just reblogging this post! Please pick a name off the list and amplify at least one family of your choice. Sending all my prayers to these people.

There are probably several more that landed in asks but Tumblr glitched and the ask box kept saying it was empty even though I clearly had several more messages. Families who I've probably missed feel free to message again.

@nebaabd-1

Merry Christmas and STILL Free Palestine
Happy New Year Everyone

It is now 2025, the genocide is continuing and there are still plenty of families who need help and deserve the fresh start that the new year grants the rest of the world.

I receive new requests for donations in extremely rapid succession. At this point OVER HUNDREDS of families in Gaza have reached out to me, but I have only been able to monetarily help a few of them myself with only small donations. It REALLY pains me to not be able to help all of them especially considering it’s going to be coming up to two years since the displacements escalated and I have seen in these messages just how frustrated these people are growing with their conditions.

To all these families: I see and I hear you and I will try my best to make sure you are not ignored. You are all wonderful fellow humans deserving of life, AND you deserve to live without fear and live in good conditions.

I’m unable to be a consistent donor, not just because I’m still unemployed and only able to put aside a small amount of my benefit towards a few families - but also because my card gets blocked on campaigns that only accept donations via PayPal, and until I can fix that there will be some campaigns that will not take my money at all even if I do TRY to send it.

So this is a plea to my followers: please support at least one family. I’ve seen how much it means to them when I’ve been able to do so, but you can also do the same.

@aliasheen-10 (blog can’t be mentioned but you can search it)

@foresttree-1 (blog can’t be mentioned but you can search it)

I will have more to add in a bit! Please reach out to some of these people and give whatever you can. Together we can save lives.

Good morning everyone (from New Zealand) hope you’re all having a lovely day!

Here is another group of Gazans to donate to or to reblog their stories at the very least! Some of them are repeat names that I’m still adding anyway as they clearly need a lot of eyes on their campaigns.

At some point soon I plan to make another post with some resources and a plea that will be able to help the majority of these families out on more of a mass scale - as there is only so much I can do as one person, and I need a team! It is in numbers that progress can be made.

There is also still only so much money I can give, not just due to personal unemployment in this moment, but also due to campaigns running exclusively off PayPal rejecting offers through the PayPal portal.

I get pop ups like this whenever I try. I would be happy to find another way to make this work but at the moment this puts a big hurdle on how much I can help.

So if you are able, please send donations of your own - or at least spread this post around to those who can.

@sameerblog11s (still an accessible blog just not taggable)

(This post will continue I’ve reached mention limit here)

Please help @ahmadomar0, @ahmed-gazaa98, and @alaajaber3. They're three of the many people suffering in Palestine/Gaza. My parents won't allow me to donate to them, and I'm not the best at stuff like PayPal either. If you can't donate, PLEASE share or find someone who can!

🚨URGENT: AHMED’S FAMILY IS WITHOUT SHELTER IN GAZA 🚨

Images: (Top) Ahmed Al-Habil and his family (Bottom) Heavy rain and cold temperatures have worsened the already inhumane living conditions in refugee camps.

Story written by @visionsofaselfmademan

Imagine being trapped in freezing rain, soaked to the skin and shivering violently from the cold. Your wife and children are huddled beside you, trying their best to keep warm. Your precious family is trying to find what little shelter they can underneath the tattered remnants of your tent; inclement weather and attacks have torn the fragile fabric to shreds.

Hours pass. Then days. Weeks go by, with no end to the suffering in sight. Just patiently enduring the freezing rain, hungry and afraid of what tomorrow will bring. There is no roof to shield you, no warmth to comfort you. You don't even have the dignity of privacy.

Images: Ahmed has been keeping us updated on his family's inhumane and heartbreaking living conditions.
@ahmadomar0

This is the inescapable reality that Ahmed Al-Habil and his family are living every single day.

A skilled fisherman in Gaza, Ahmed lost so much  to the conflict—his home, his livelihood, his boat. Now, he and his family of six, including his four young children and elderly parents, are living in a leaking tent in Deir al-Balah. The relentless rain has left them drenched, cold, and vulnerable to illness, with no relief in sight.

Ahmed’s young children are sick. His elderly parents, both battling chronic illnesses, are struggling to endure the harsh conditions. Though Ahmed has larger goals of getting his family to safety, right now all he is asking for is enough to buy a proper tent—a simple shelter to keep his family safe from the unforgiving elements.

This is an emergency. 🚨 Ahmed’s family desperately needs your help to survive. Every dollar counts toward giving them the safety and dignity they deserve.

You can donate to Ahmed’s GoFundMe campaign [HERE].

Let’s not let Ahmed’s family face another night in the cold. Together, we can give them shelter, food, and hope. 🙏

Donate even 10 euros to give us hope and life back.

Hello, I’m Ahmed from Gaza😔😔

Life here is filled with daily challenges due to the ongoing blockade and war. My family struggles to secure our basic needs. My parents are ill, and my children suffer from malnutrition due to a lack of food and clean water😥😭😭

Despite everything💔💔

I haven’t lost hope, but the war has worsened our situation, making it harder than I can handle alone. That’s why I’m reaching out for your help. Every donation can make a difference by providing food and clean water for my family👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Thank you for any support you can offer🧡

Please continue to support Ahmed and his family! They are in dire need. Their fundraiser is stagnated and they haven't received any donations in DAYS. They need your help!

Ahmed reached out to me, he said he and his family needs a new tent which now cost €700 plus commission. He and his family needs donations to buy food, warm blankets, and his wife is pregnant, hence the urgency.

Please support Ahmed and his family! If you can’t donate, share and reblog this post to spread awareness so others that can donate, can donate and support his family!
