Disappointing Service

The mattress is great. The service less so. “Next day delivery” was actually “delivery 12 days later” and the couriers did not unpack the mattress still less take the packaging material away as advertised. Given how much the mattress cost, even with the discount, I expected better.

Whilst we are able to offer a next-day delivery service to most areas in the UK, this service is only available for items that are in stock at the time of purchase.

We can see that at the time of purchase, the Ultra mattress was not available for next day delivery. The earliest available date for delivery was found within the mattress page as it is today: https://simbasleep.com/products/simba-hybrid-ultra-mattress?view=add-to-cart

We can see that your order was scheduled to be delivered on the 9th of October at the time of purchase, and this was delivered on said date as expected.

With our Standard Delivery service (free), customers will be able to have their items delivered to their room of choice, or they will also be able to receive their items at their doorstep, should they prefer this.

In most UK postcodes, we are also able to offer a mattress removal service when placing an order for a Simba mattress.

When choosing our standard delivery service and when choosing to have the items delivered to the room of choice, the delivery drivers will be able to leave all the items in the preferred room. However, for the time being, this service does not include an unpacking, assembly or waste removal service. All the information on what to expect when receiving a Simba order can be found within the checkout stage and here: https://simbasleep.com/pages/delivery-information

We have put handles on all our mattress boxes, and in most of our mattresses to ensure that these are easy to manoeuvre when receiving the items, and when rotating as per the required guidelines.

Customers who wish to see their items unpackaged, assembled, placed into their beds and all packaging removed, will be able to select our VIP Delivery Service instead, which offers the option to leave your new Simba items ready to be used. This delivery service must be selected when placing the order.

Unfortunately, we can see that your order only includes the standard delivery service, which does not include the removal of the packaging, or assembly of the new items by the drivers.

Customer Service 5 Stars.

I can't fault the customer service at all, They were very good.

We were excited to receive our Simba Mattress, I looked around their website, Found the one I thought would be the most suitable for us and decided to add a couple of the Stratos pillows as well.

The Stratos pillows are amazing. The Mattress on the other hand though, Was probably one of the worst mattresses we have ever slept on, It was very uncomfortable, We both had aches and pains and the sides offered little to no support which meant we were both sleeping in the middle of the bed otherwise we would have just rolled out.

After 7 days, The side was all coming out. I sent pictures and Simba said that it was potentially a manufacturing problem so they did take it away and send a replacement. I was hoping it would have been better as there are so many good reviews on here I genuinely did think that It was probably faulty in some way.

With the replacement Mattress, Simba also sent us two additional pillows, They weren't the Stratos, I'm not sure what they were, but after a month, they had gone lumpy at the sides and flat in the middle and the mattress was just as uncomfortable as the defective one.

For the price, I was incredibly disappointed, I can't image it would have lasted a year, let a lone 10.

We ended up sending it back which was thankfully a super easy process, A few pictures and then the collection was arranged.

We've ended up going back to a normal sprung mattress with a foam topping.

The Stratos pillows though, They do seem to be decent so far...

Good Delivery

After experiencing a total nightmare with Emma Sleep UK and living with no mattress for a month I decided to cancel my order and go to Simba instead. As a student I get 21% off so not the same saving as Emma Sleep at 40% but you get what you pay for these days. My mattress arrived with a smile today - I waited 3 days vs 1 month and counting. If you are undecided as to who to go with - read my review and pick a Simba. I will update for the sleep quality part once I'm up and running x

Built to last?

We’ve had our Simba mattress less than three years and it needs replacing already.

I was dubious about a memory foam style mattress because of the inability to flip it. I appreciate that it needs turning and it has been turned regularly over the time period that we have it.

Unfortunately, it is very obvious where we sleep and there are depressions on both sides of the mattress where we sleep, leaving an untouched “mound” in the middle of the mattress.

To say I’m disappointed in this mattress is an understatement. The amount of money that we spent on our King size isn’t comparable to the to quality of it less than three years later.

Don’t get me wrong, when it was brand new it was amazing. But, to need to replace such a high quality mattress in such a short time frame is highly disappointing.

The best body pillow on the market

The best body pillow on the market. I’ve tried and tested multiple pregnancy/body pillows all of which lose their shape and aren’t the correct shape. Great sleeps and an improved lower back after 1 week

It was refreshing to speak with someone who was clearly knowledgeable, rather than just a generic customer service script.

The process of selecting a mattress couldn’t have been easier. With their expert guidance, I was able to find the perfect fit with minimal fuss. They managed to distill what can often be an overwhelming choice into something straightforward and stress-free. In a world where service is often sacrificed for speed, Simba somehow excels at both.

Simba experience

Easy to navigate website, we were kept informed via txt, email regarding the process of our order. We were able to choose our delivery date. The delivery people were friendly and helpful.
We arranged to have our old mattress removed (at a cost) but it was worth it and the whole process ran smoothly.

A lot of money for a mattress that…

A lot of money for a mattress that isn't all that comfortable.

I was sucked in by the hype on this and thought it would be worth the extra investment. On reflection I'm not sure that something half the price from another vendor would have been noticeably different.

We paid extra for removal of old mattress and the bag to send the old one back only just arrived beforehand leading to a mad scramble to get things sorted. The Simba CS team were fairly non-plussed about it all.

Customer feedback has led us to believe that you should always give your mattress thirty nights to bed in. Any new mattress can feel a bit different at first! Thirty nights will also give your Simba enough time to adapt to its new environment and your regular sleeping position. 

Remember, your new Simba mattress comes with a 200-Night sleep trial, so you have plenty of time to test your mattress before making a final decision on it. If you are finding that the mattress simply doesn't suit your needs, please kindly reach out to our support team on our website https://help.simbasleep.com/ so that we can advise you on the best Simba mattress for your needs.

Whilst the removal bag will be usually delivered by DPD the day prior to the delivery of the new Simba mattress, we can see that sadly, the driver came across a road closure on their way to you. We are happy to see that despite the initial delay, the removal bag could be delivered right before the delivery of the new Simba.

Easy and straightforward from order to delivery

Easy to book a slot, simple delivery of the bag for the mattress that was being collected - straight forward (ish) to our on - def took two people though. In the day the drivers were polite, put in little boots to save the carpets and were in and out very quickly. The unravelling of the mattress was easy once I worked out what to do and it reached its size in around 6 hours!

Great experience with Simba Sleep

Brilliant NHS discount. Made it so much easier to buy a decent mattress for our little ones. We needed 2 at the same time so it kept the cost affordable for us.
Very quick delivery and good updates on this also.
We had ordered with another leading mattress brand and after 2-3 weeks wait and no sign or estimated delivery we had to cancel. I’m so glad we did and I then spent time reading reviews for Simba sleep mattresses. So far the children love them, they are sleeping well and we have no complaints.

Fantastic customer service

Customer service has been fantastic. We ordered a Hybrid Luxe mattress and although we found it very comfortable, we also found it quite a 'hot' mattress to sleep on. Simba were great and suggested that we tried the Earth Range. They exchanged the mattress quickly and efficiently and we are now enjoying sleeping on the Earth mattress which again is extremely comfortable, just not quite as warm. Thank you Simba.

Mattress protector

We ordered the mattress protector again on recommendation from friends. It seems slightly big for our new kingsize simba mattress, not a snug fit as I would have liked. Thinking of the price, I think other much cheaper mattress protectors are just as good.

Our review of the mattress is below. We are blown away how good that is.

If I could leave a minus score..

If I could leave a minus score, I would!
Shocking service.
My order was delayed by 2 weeks, then when finally delivered it was incomplete-bed couldn’t be assembled so had to be taken away again.
Customer service non-existent. Only able to chat to a ‘bot’ which was utterly useless. Promised a call back which never came. Now hoping to get a refund but feel this process will be long and painful.
Avoid this company!
