The world likes Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s team-up, which injected Deadpool into the MCU and brought Jackman’s Wolverine (and lots of other Marvel characters) along for the ride.

A bigger iMac is apparently still a possibility.

Last we heard, Apple doesn’t plan to make a 27-inch iMac equipped with its custom silicon chips. But a larger version of its slender all-in-one is still “something Apple is exploring,” wrote Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter for Bloomberg today.

He adds that it’s not clear whether that will happen in time for the M4 chip generation or later, though.

Say, that looks familiar.

Pixar posted a short Toy Story 5 tease during D23 2024 last night that featured brief, wordless animations of the characters Woody, Buzz, and Jessie.

Some folks on social media realized the animations look a lot like those from a certain Apple Watch face. The video below, spotted by 9to5Mac, drives it home.

Donald Trump’s account is currently unsearchable on X.

At the moment, if you type “from:realdonaldtrump” followed by a specific term in X’s search bar, you’ll get the same set of results, seemingly no matter what you type, according to a Mediaite story spotted by Engadget.

I experienced the same thing when I tried it, but could still search other accounts this way. X responded with an auto-reply when reached for comment.

The fix is in for software-bricked original HomePods.

Nic Splattstoesser, who repairs common 2018 HomePod issues, demonstrates the process in a video spotted by 9to5Mac.

Restoring the first HomePod, which wasn’t possible before now, involves connecting a custom USB adapter to a hidden debugging port on the bottom of the device. Splattstoesser credits David Syskalczyk and tihmstar with figuring out how to pull it off.

Microsoft is quietly sunsetting Paint 3D.

The app won’t be available in the Microsoft Store after November 4th, according to the below screenshot that XDA Developers spotted. (I don’t see the banner myself, so I’ve reached out to Microsoft to confirm.)

It’s no big surprise. Introduced as a modern replacement for MS Paint, the app hasn’t been included with Windows since 2021. MS Paint, however, lives on.
