Kyokkan 6 was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate superregional tournament held in Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan, on July 20th, 2024.
Tournament summary[edit]
The tournament was notable for having only 3 of the top 8 seeds make top 8.
First seed, TamaPDaifuku won 11 straight sets in order to win the event after losing their first round of Top 96 to 32nd seed, Marcos.
In addition to TamaPDaifuku several other top seeds, were upset early. 2nd seed, Asimo placed 9th after being upset by 10th seed syadau and 5th seed MASA. During this run, he won four game 5 sets in a row against Pochi, Futari no Kiwami Ah~!, Fui, and Nao. MASA, himself was upset in winners finals of pools by 60th seed Masamune. MASA would win 10 sets in losers before placing 4th to eventual champion TamaPDaifuku.
Toriguri, the third seed, was also upset in winners finals of pools by 67th seed Kinato. He would end up finishing seventeenth after being upset again by Nao.
The fourth seed, Fui, placed 9th after being upset by the 12th seed Ogatou in winners and then losing to TamaPDaifuku in losers. Sixth seed, Tsu finished 25th after losing their first round of winner's top 96 to 27th seed Wataru and then in again in losers to MASA. Wataru themselves would make it all the way to 5th after defeating Pochi and Hakadama.
Finally, 8th seed Futari no Kiwami Ah~! would finish 13th after losing to 40th seed Yama in winners side of top 96 and in losers to TamaPDaifuku.
