Is this really necessary? SSB has yet to be released on it, so until then I think it should be deleted since it doesn't affect Super Smash Bros. Or we could mark it as speculation and say SSB may come out on it.SmoreKing Happy Holidays! 20:04, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think so. This isn't the Nintendo Wiki, and the only way that this affects Smash is that it's on the same console that Brawl is on. Friedbeef1 Ho ho ho! 20:06, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Alright.SmoreKing Happy Holidays! 20:08, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Get rid of it. SSB isn't released, and despite Brawl being on the same console and the Virtual Console theme being one of the tracks on the said game, this doesn't need a page at all. METEORITE (t) 21:45, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Has no one thought of the fact that Masterpieces (which are part of Brawl) are demo versions of Virtual Console games? Miles (talk) 21:49, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- They're demos of the games that the character originally appeared, and just work on the Virtual Console engine. Still, the page doesn't need to be that long and detailed about other Wii stuff and not Smash. Friedbeef1 Ho ho ho! 21:55, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed, FB. Clean it up, and it should stay. The speculation about the original SSB is debatable; I wouldn't worry either way. Miles (talk) 22:04, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. I'm removing the deletion tag and instead putting a cleanup tag instead. Friedbeef1 Ho ho ho! 23:17, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- I cleaned up the article, does anyone have something to add or get rid of?Chocolatepie (talk) 00:18, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

List of consoles on Virtual Console?[edit]
To avoid an edit war, I'm just going to say that this section is unnecessary because it is not related to Smash. The only thing Smash has to do with the Virtual Console is Smash 64. Any other information is largely extraneous. John HUAH! 11:29, 19 June 2017 (EDT)
- Agreed; this is also consistent with (among others, I guess) how the pages about developers and companies are handled. It would be possible to make a case for consoles featuring games which appear as masterpieces or are the source of characters/stages/content, but I think it would be stretching it. -Menshay (talk) 17:29, 19 June 2017 (EDT)
- I actually find it hard to say how relevant or irrelevant it is. Initially, I agree that it's generally outside of the scope of the Wiki, but at the same time, the inclusion of different systems in the Masterpieces could make having such information useful, as it allows readers to cross-check compatibility between the Masterpieces and the console they're on, such as how the two Game Boy titles in Smash 4 aren't actually available on the Wii U. I think it's fine to stay, but I know this reasoning is s a bit weak. Something to consider, though.
