Talk:Palutena
Wheres the trivia?[edit]
I put some really good trivia here. And now its gone. I help the wiki, attempting to get it out of its yellow status, and people delete my help. DO U WANT ME TO HELP OR NOT!! đĄHarro (talk) 04:04, 5 August 2014 (EDT)
- Maybe if you read the edit summary, you would understand why the trivia was removed. The second part really is too wordy, while the first part is just not all that interesting to me. You can try to argue that the trivia is valid, but in the future, don't just complain about having your work removed when you should have checked the edit summary first to put up a valid argument as to why your trivia should be there. MegaTron1XD 04:30, 5 August 2014 (EDT)
- Maybe if YOU read the edit summary, you would see that the reason given is JUST PLAIN STUPID. WHAT THE HELL DOES MEGA MAN BEING CONFIRMED HAVE TO DO WITH THIS Harro (talk) 05:40, 5 August 2014 (EDT)
- It's a logical comparison that you're quite frankly not seeing at all. R.O.B. was the only robot prior to Mega Man's announcement. This really wasn't interesting to anyone at all, so he never received the trivia point. If you're going to try to argue for this trivia point to remain, then give reasons as to why it's interesting, because honestly, it's a blatantly obvious and bland trivia point. Why is this article at Lady Palutena[edit]
Pit is the only character who refers to her as such. PikaSamus (talk) 10:17, 17 December 2014 (EST)
I'm pretty sure Palutena's not in the 1st game.[edit]
Or at least, not in the 3D classics. Unowninator (talk) 17:41, 27 January 2016 (EST)
- She definitely is, she just played more of a "damsel in distress" role in it, which is why one may not remember her being in it. Disaster Flare (talk) 17:42, 27 January 2016 (EST)
- [1] Miles (talk) 17:56, 27 January 2016 (EST)
Okay then.... Is there a way to fix this fact? Or just mention she's the only Kid Icarus character without extra jumps? âPreceding unsigned comment added by Unowninator (talk âą contribs) 21:11, January 27, 2016 (EST)
- That becomes a 1/3. :Why is it so important that it gets mentioned? It's not really interesting anyway. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 22:14, 27 January 2016 (EST)
Okay, let's pretend that she IS a Sakurai character? Why wouldn't it be interesting? Compared to let's say, this:
All 5 of Charizard's air attacks only hit once. It is the only Pokémon with this behavior.
- I just don't get it, do I? Unowninator (talk) 22:21, 27 January 2016 (EST)
I think you missed a part. Unowninator (talk) 22:27, 27 January 2016 (EST)
- If there was a way to phrase it to group all Kirby and Kid Icarus characters together, that might be notable. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 22:27, 27 January 2016 (EST)
- The only thing to that effect that I can think of would be "franchises Sakurai has contributed to, outside of smash" and that is way to specific. Serpent King 22:29, 27 January 2016 (EST)
- Plus I'm sure if you did a little digging there are other games Sakurai's contributed to besides Kirby and Kid Icarus.
- So yeah. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 22:31, 27 January 2016 (EST)

Move[edit]
I'm neutral on this since I don't know the context of her being called Lady Palutena (is it just Pit? or do other characters call her that too?), but since it's been moved twice without discussion I figured we probably should have some of that. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by cupidâ„. Eh, it seems unnecessary. ChuckNorris 16:38, 15 February 2016 (EST)
- Oppose Really only Pit calls her that, and it's more of a formality thing. We don't call Mario "Mr. Mario". Disaster Flare (talk) 16:39, 15 February 2016 (EST)
- We already had it moved once before. I believe this should settle things. Aidan, the Lovely Dragon Warrior 17:14, 15 February 2016 (EST)
- Same point I made back then. It's just Pit being respectful; nobody else calls her that. Miles (talk) 18:00, 15 February 2016 (EST)
- I do. But on the other hand, even if this discussion has ended, I would have opposed as well, since Lady is just a way to address her. -- BeepYou, a user with no grammar at all :v (talk) 18:19, 15 February 2016 (EST)
- Oppose Per above. Also, we have other characters that had titles follow their name, yet they are mainly treated the same way here. moving would raise more obligations. Berrenta (talk) 18:25, 15 February 2016 (EST)
- Oppose per others. Penro ...that's all. 18:28, 15 February 2016 (EST)

My remaining question would be, is there any specific situation where someone calls her just "Palutena" instead of "Lady Palutena"? Or is Pit the only one who calls her that because he's the only one who ever actually says her name?
Also, saying that it's just a formality is a vaguely meh reason considering we have Princess Peach and Princess Zelda. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by cupidâ„. Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 18:57, 15 February 2016 (EST)
- That's because those are, canonically, their full names. It's the exact same with Sonic the Hedgehog. Aidan, the Lovely Dragon Warrior 18:59, 15 February 2016 (EST)
Incorrect trivia?[edit]
- Palutena, Ridley, the dog from Duck Hunt, Dark Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, and Piranha Plant are the only playable characters in the Super Smash Bros. series that do not have a playable appearance in any other official video game by Nintendo.
Isn't this wrong? Aren't most of the third party characters not playable in official Nintendo games? The only Nintendo game I can think of with those characters is the Super Mario Maker amiibo thing, but Palutena, Duck Hunt, and Wii Fit Trainer are playable in that too. Kyubeasy (talk) 17:15, December 10, 2020 (EST)
- While I agree that the "official video game by Nintendo" wording is weird, the Super Mario Maker amiibo thing is, in fact, not a playable character; it's called Costume Mario, which indicates that it is a costume that Mario wears. Aidan, the Festive Rurouni 17:26, December 10, 2020 (EST)
