Paper Mario: The Origami King was a Spirit Board event focused on spirits from Paper Mario: The Origami King. It ran from 6 a.m. on August 28, 2020 to 6 a.m. on September 2, 2020 (UTC). During the event, defeating spirits on the Spirit Board which were part of the event awarded more Gold than usual.
The spirits for this event were exclusive to it at the time. After November 24, 2020, these spirits became available in the Shop and on the Spirit Board like most other spirits.

Trivia[edit]
- This is the first Spirit Board event based on a specific game to have its English title exactly the same as the game it is based on. Although the Japanese, Chinese, and Korean titles have the same title as the game, there are phrases added before the title of the game, similar to the spirit board events based on specific games.
