Dej Loaf is a rapper and singer hailing from Detroit, Michigan, United States who was born on April 8th, 1991. Since debuting in 2011, she has released two mix-tapes online and released successful singles with everyone from Eminem to Kid Ink.
Born Deja Trimble and raised listening to a steady diet of everything from 2Pac to Miles Davis, Dej Loaf was writing her own music by the age of nine. As time went on she started penning her own lyrics to compliment her music, and in 2011, nearly a decade later and three semesters into university, she dropped out in order to pursue a music career full-time. A year afterwards she released her first mixtape “Just Do It”, a release that attracted the attention of fellow Detroit-based rapper SAYITAINTTONE, who signed her to his label IBGM (I Been Gettin' Money) and his management team.
She spent the next two years touring and working on her follow up mix-tape “Sell Sole”. While its first single “Try Me”, fell under the radar after its initial release in July 2014, it received a huge spike in publicity when Canadian rap superstar Drake quoted some of its lyrics in a post on Instagram. The track charted on the Billboard Hot 100 soon afterwards, and lead to Dej signing a major label record deal with Columbia Records shortly after the release of “Sell Sole”. Since then, Dej enjoyed a prime guest spot on Eminem's 2014 single “Detroit vs. Everybody”, and remains one of the most exciting young rappers around. For that, she comes highly recommended.

The 24 year old is capitalising on the turning tide considering the genre of rap, which has historically been difficult for women to be taken serious within.
She is yet to release an album however due to the popularity of her mix tapes she has created a fanbase in Detroit and across the US who she regularly heads out to see. She speaks passionately about her position as a female in the world of rap and the importance of support from the fans. They remain enthusiastic throughout perhaps due to the close proximity that Deja holds her live show, she is definitely not shy to get up and personal with the front rows and this adds sparks to the room. She has made one appearance on the Billboard Chart already and ends on 'Try Me' which is sung back during the chorus much to her delight.
Dej loaf was lit in London , she came into the crowd and interacted had a amazing energy. So humble even stopped her car to talk to fans. Best concert of 2016
Would have been better if A1 productions had nothing to do with it, apart from that Dej loaf and paigey Cakey killed it
Wasn't there for Dej Tinashe and got there a little before Meek performed over all it was great STOP TELLING THE DJ TO CUT THE MUSIC WHEN EVERYONE IS HYPE. only thing that made me mad but nicki was great and it was great.
She was bomb in concert. The crowd was super hype. She took both my sisters phones and took snapchats of her singing on them. Overall I'm really glad I went :)
