  • Two Door Cinema Club

Two door cinema club was unbelievable. They were so exciting and I never knew what was going to happen next. The crowd was so rowdy and perfect for the concert. The venue made it comfortable and was clean. I was standing only 10 feet away from the lead singer. We went for my birthday and it was the best present. I knew every word to the songs. This made the experience even more special. The lighting was so great. Even a bit over the top. I was expecting low lights with a chill crowd. But what I got was a brilliant crowd with lights everywhere and screaming at the top of our lungs. Sure we were in so much pain from our feet and sweat was everywhere, but we did not care at all. The music was so good and it was like the best concert. The stage was almost gonna explode and it was so thrilling. When I got home I was so tired I just crashed. The ride home was so tiring too. I fell asleep a few times on my friends. We were so happy to be there when we could see our favorite band. The band was very into it and they loved the crowd. They kept talking to us and played every song perfectly. Nobody could get over the bright lights. It was almost like we were in a rave or house concert. I wish I could go back there everyday to hear the sound of Two Door Cinema Club. The music was very upbeat and inviting. The lyrics work so well with what is going on and the lyrics are relevant to events that occur to most people. The drums were ringing in my ears through tout the entire night and on to the next day. The one guitarist was really cute. He kept looking toward us and pointed at us. I swear he was pointing right at my friends and I. The night was so memorable and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who likes alternative or indie type music. They are somewhere in that genre. Not really sure where else they would go. The concert last November was probably the most memorable concert ever because it was on. Friday night in the city with 2 of my friends. It was just us and Two Door Cinema Club. The best part of it was that we didn't know the 2 opening acts and that they were good. I learned new music, got to hang with friends, spend the night listening to the most popular band on my iPod, and letting go. This was one of the nights of my life. Two Door Cinema Club was perfect for me. They helped me get up from stages in my life that I thought I would never get out of. Their music is calming, cool, fast, slow, different, and just their own special sound. It is highly likely I would see them again and have an even better time knowing what I know now. The concert was perfection.

  • Seeing Two Door Cinema Club live reminded me of waking up on a crisp Friday evening and being pleasantly surprised that it was Christmas Eve. The show had me giddy and bouncing on the balls of my feet, dancing with a child’s excitement about what was happening in front of me, what was happening to me.

I walked into the cozy grunge of Showbox Sodo (now deceased), mild mannered and expecting a satisfactory show that, at the very least, would not disappoint me. The openers were strange and unknown, the crowd calm and swaying to them in an only slightly interested wave. After their exit, the energy shifted dramatically. A wave of shoving sent me and my friends stumbling towards the front lines with little to no effort. Then came Two Door, charming accents blazing as they introduced themselves. Within three guitar notes the attendees woke up, rubbed their eyes, and went absolutely mental.

The lights wove and surged in devastatingly perfect time to the sound, never overpowering but enough to keep us all rallying and drawn to the same heading. The intricacy of bass and guitar notes, the way Kevin Baird and Alex Trimble flit across frets, was remarkably never lost in the roar. This is a sound quality that Two Door carries in spades when recorded, and it was stunning to watch them keep that skill as pronounced on the stage. They were playful with crowd favorites such as “I Can Talk”, remixing in front of the throng and catching all of us sing-a-longs off guard.

The dancing and movement on the floor simply never ceased. There was never any doubt that you were surrounded by actual fans, people of varying ages that had listened to these songs on repeat until they knew every word of each album, till their throats were raspy with belting “Sun” several decibels too high. Overall, it goes on the list as one of my favorite shows. I would recommend experiencing Two Door Cinema Club’s live to anyone who adores a well-orchestrated, qualitative party. Go forth, see them, jump around for them, and something good can and will work.

  • After experiencing an amazing show on Day 3 of Lollapalooza, my friends and I, along with the thousands of people around us, were all high in anticipation for the next show to knock us off our feet... And Two Door Cinema Club did just that - they put on a show like no other. The band came on the stage, looking fresh ta death. The lead singer, Alex, came out in a dark blue suit and shades. The classiness didn't stop there; periodically he would take a sip from a cold glass of white wine in between songs. The other band mates were dressed nicely as well, and they all looked so put together. Though looks can sometimes be deceiving, TDCC proved that one can look good and play amazing music simultaneously (Alex rocked out in that three-piece suit for the entire show). The band was so in tune and connected with each other, and they knew how to keep the crowd entertained. At on point in the show, they suddenly stopped playing and froze in place. After the crowd grew more excited, wondering when they were going to continue to play, the band all started playing again in unison. It was such a cool thing to watch! Dancing to TDCC that day brought back many memories of my middle school years, when my sisters and I would jam out to their songs; I never would have dreamed of getting to see them live. The band looked like they were having so much fun up there, which gave the show an upbeat and exciting vibe. They played a nice mix of their classics and songs from their latest album. I was thoroughly impressed with TDCC. The combination of the suits, wine, and music made this experience a memorable one that I'll never forget.

  • With a number of bands recently calling it a day, coming back after a Hiatus and it being a Monday ‎night I wasn’t sure what to expect from Two Door Cinema Club even though I knew it was a sell-out. ‎However what I saw and experienced was just awesome and I had a thoroughly enjoyable night. ‎

Anteros (who I didn’t see) and Sundara Karma provided support. To be honest Sundara Karma are ‎not really my cup of tea but are clearly popular and were very well received by the crowd creating a ‎brilliant atmosphere. The atmosphere hit epic proportions as big dance tracks boomed out prior to ‎the arrival of Two Door Cinema Club who opened up with ‘Cigarettes in the Theatre’ and a great light ‎show.‎

The energy throughout the room and on stage was electric throughout giving the gig, a weekend feel ‎to it eliminating any silly early fears I may have had. Coming off the back of Leeds/Reading, a new ‎album and another Leeds/Reading announcement they are on top form in a great place to push on to ‎be even better. They have the songs and they have the tempo, my personal pre-encore favourites ‎were ‘Do you Want it All’, ‘This is the Life’, ‘Ordinary’, ‘Are We Ready’, ‘Sun’ and ‘I Can Talk’ was ‎incredible. Two Door Cinema Club looked as though they enjoying themselves and were faultless, ‎they closed with an encore of ‘Someday’ and ‘What you Know’ leaving a buzzing crowd that had ‎bounced and sang along all night. ‎

  • Two Door Cinema Club are a Northern Irish electronic/alternative rock duo. I saw them at the Ritz Ybor in Tampa back in 2012 and they were amazing! They brought all the energy of a stadium concert into a medium sized venue. The stage setup, with laser lights, made their music feel like a party. You’d be surprised at how well they play the crowd.

Their music uses a lot of electronic bleeps and blurps but blends the bass and guitar in perfectly. Their sound is funky and they add unexpected musical elements to make them a one-of-a-kind band. Their set included “Something Good Can Work”, “Undercover Martyn”, “Sleep Alone” and the eponymous “I Can Talk” – with its unmistakable intro. They also know how to slow the music down, however, and Two Door Cinema club played some slower tracks beautifully. They are true artists on stage that have mastered their instruments. The lead singer croons perfectly on key all while managing the energy of the room depending on the song. Some times we slow danced, some times we jumped up and down like lunatics. Either way, Two Door Cinema club is DEFINITELY worth seeing. And since they are not internationally huge yet, their ticket prices can often be under $30, making the experience a steal.

  • This was the 5th time I've seen TDCC. They are always worth it since their music is so upbeat and energetic. I have been waiting for them to play "Not in this town", but I'll keep waiting.

The stage was great with the rectangles of the cover of the new album lighting up with the rhythm.

In terms of the setlist, it was very balanced. They actually focused on the oldies starting with "Cigarettes in the Theatre" and "Undercover Martyn". The biggest surprise for me was that they included "Eat That Up, It's Good For You" and all the classics were there. They played just 4 songs of the new album, maintaining the attitude all the way.

And obviously, they closed with "What You Know".

  • The show was AMAZING! I have not a single negative comment about the music or the performance in general. Even the opening band, Peach Pit, gave a really great show. There were people smoking weed and vaping during the show which I didn’t mind but others might. There were also some rude people there yelling at the band. My only gripes are with the people who attended, not the TDCC.

Two Door Cinema Club came on stage with a really great, in a way interactive introduction that led into Talk. It really pulls you in! The rest of the show was mind-blowing and they tricked us (me, at least) about their final song. I thought about 4 songs were gonna be the last one haha. Alex spoke to the audience and they all thanked the audience for coming. I loved the graphics they had set up behind them and the lighting cues. It was just spectacular and I was definitely sad when it ended. I would suggest for anyone and everyone to go to one of their concerts. You will not be disappointed.

  • Two Door Cinema Club, a great band to get any party hyped!

All of their upbeat songs make them perfect to set a great mood and a huge singalong.

Back in October when I saw them in a small, local venue, they packed the place. Most of the songs were played off of their first album, Tourist History. Even when I'm with my friends, TDCC perfectly sets the tone for a good time. I remember seeing everyone singing along to their most popular songs like Undercover Martyn and What You Know. It was like a party inside the venue because of how much effects they had set! There were flashing lights everywhere and everyone dancing. There were even crowd surfers! They even played their new single, Changing of the Seasons. Their opening bands, Smallpools and St. Lucia also set a very good vibe for them. The alternative/indie pop definitely made it a very lively concert.

  • Two Door Cinema Club was great. Unfortunately their performance didn't match with how the audiences behave. They were the worst. Since Sundara Karma playing, a bunch of teenagers started to push people around and made a commotion (they somehow wanted to create a mosh pit, gosh the song wasn't even the right song to do moshing). I couldn't enjoy the concert last night because I was busy saving my life from getting stomped by people. And I couldn't understand why the security was so slow. They didn't do anything to those d*ckheads just until before the TDCC played. And somehow there was also a fight in the middle between a boy and a girl? Like f*ck?! I really wantes to like the performance last night, but those experiences of being pushed and pulled in a sea of people made this concert was THE WORST CONCERT I'VE EVER ATTENDED IN LONDON.
