Jeezy, also known as Young Jeezy (born September 18, 1977) is the stage name of Jay Wayne Jenkins, an American hip hop recording artist, born in Columbia, South Carolina, U.S.
Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. Jenkin’s early taste of musical success came when he released his first independent album titled “Thuggin’ Under the Influence (T.U.I.)” in 2001 under the moniker Lil J. The album featured Lil Jon who produced a few of the tracks as well as Freddy J and Fidank. Two years later in 2004 Jenkins released the double CD “Come Shop wit Me” made up of new and existing songs from T.U.I, and the year marked Jeezy’s singing with Bad Boy Records. At the same time Jenkins joined the rap group Boyz n da Hood, who in June 2005 released a self-titled album which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
On July 26, 2005, after signing a record deal with Def Jam Records, Jenkins made his major label debut with “Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101”. The album performed remarkably well debuting at No. 2 on the album chart, and singles “And Then What” and “Sole Survivor” also performed well, the latter, featuring Akon peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Jenkins featured in the Christiana Milians’s 2006 single “Say I” and the year also marked the release of Jeezy’s sophomore major label album named “The Inspiration”. It was the first album of Jeezy’s to top the the Billboard 200 and sold over 352,000 copies in the first week.
Jenkins has repeatedly denounced the commercialism of the music industry, has led charity drives for underprivileged children and opened his home in Atlanta for victims of hurricane Katrina.
Jenkins’ follow-up album would also see the top of the charts, 2008’s “The Recession” cemented Jeezy’s position in mainstream hip-hop culture. The album’s lead single “Put On” featuring Kanye West earned the duo a Grammy Nomination for Best Rap Performance and was followed by the other singles “Vacation”, “Crazy World” and “My President”
Jeezy’s subsequent album “Thug Motivation 103” despite a handful of set-backs was released on December 20, 2011 and featured the tracks “Illin” featuring Pusha T and “F.A.M.E.” featuring T.I.. In 2012 Jenkins let drop a new single “Get Right” which was the lead single on a new mixtape entitled “It’s Tha World” and in 2013 a compilation mixtape named “Boss Yo Life Up Gang”.
Jeezy’s seventh studio album “Seen It All: The Autobiography” was released September 2, 2014 and features collaborations with Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Game.

The hip-hop recording artist from Atlanta has been putting out hit after hit since 2001 with some of the most notable collaborations with people like Rihanna and Usher. To date, he has been up for at least four Grammy nominations as well.
Watching his live set, you immediately are pulled into his world. It is not somewhere that I normally wander into, but with his shows, it’s really worth it. His fans go absolutely mental when he takes the stage, and he makes sure to give them the show of a lifetime, moving from each side of the stage so everyone gets his attention. He performs all of his best songs, including some songs where he will bring out special guests to perform with him. On top of that, he also engages the audience to get them to sing parts of the song, and at times it gets so loud that all you hear is the crowd an not him. The way they cheer for him, you can tell how much they love him, and when he is gone they continue to cheer in the hopes of bringing him back on stage, which sometimes does work.
Not to be confused with Kanye West's pseudonym Yeezy, Jay Wayne Jenkins has been making music under the stage name Jeezy or Lil J since 2000. The Georgian hip hop artist has worked the circuit the hard way and has made his way up through the stages thanks to the strength of his fanbase.
The commercial success of his recent albums has also seen the performer playing to more and more people at a rapid rate yet he takes it all within his stride thanks to his confident stage persona and large amount of self-assuredness. Pulling a bold move and opening with his biggest chart hit 'Soul Survivor' may seem a little foolish but it quickly gets the crowd enthused and excited and the energy is then high as Jeezy runs through his personal career high points whilst interspersing hits including 'Put On' which features Yeezy and 'Lose My Mind'. Jay's brilliant combination of strong stage presence and hit laced discography is the perfect formula for a truly great live performance.
For those of you who are into rap or hip hop, young jeezy is definitely THE ONE to see! His energy and talent on stage will have you standing up and not even thinking about sitting in your chair THE WHOLE TIME. He performs all his music from the old to the new, and everyone knows there's no jeez like the old jeez. If I had a chance to go to every young jeez concert in my city I most definitely would. The energy and the vibe of his concerts is just so live. I have been to quite a few concerts but Yung jeezy was one of my favorites. The music is so hype ,there is not one song that I can say was boring. A Yung jeezy concert is like going to a hip hop award show. Everybody in the audience is so amped and he makes sure he brings a friend. So not only will you see Yung jeezy; there's no telling who he may bring along as a surprise guest. The money spent on tickets is definitely worth it! If you love hip hop , you'll have a ball!
This is my 2nd time seeing him perform. Once last year when he was in NY for his last show and last night. It was amazing despite the weather we had. But it was snow for the snowman what could you expect lol. Did Vip last time but PlayStation theatre never got back to me on doing vip which was bad on their part. Wanted to do meet and greet but they stopped the ticket option early which I feel as if though they could next time extend until almost show date. He is awesome and amazing. When at his show expect nothing but the best. Energy is felt at any spot in the venue. Will be seeing again when he comes to NY and next year at all star in ATL. Can’t wait. Go see him perform if you haven’t already. It’s worth the trip. Tee grizzly also did an amazing performance. I can see him going far in this industry. First time seeing him perform last night and he had the crowd interaction at an all time high.

I've really enjoyed my time at the Mandalay Bay resort.ive met so many beautiful souls all good vibes. The DJ played all the urban music he was perfect for the event. The drinks that I had last me the whole experience and for a reasonable price! I would definitely love to recommend a friend to come a witnessed the experience I've had.

Jeezy is always amazing! Been rocking with him since Day 1! Drove from ATL to Durham just to catch him again! I have been to several concerts where he has made an appearance, even at the Atlanta Hawks game. He always has a great energy level and i will go wherever he is, no matter the distance!

Your show was lit !!! I loved it , was worth the price. Just really disappointed that YFN lucci didn't come out to perform. But other than that I had fun , it was crazy at some point w the fight lol!!!
