• She Past Away

  Well, honestly I was disappointed.

  I had discovered She Past Away 1 year ago on Spotify and already knew all of their songs before the concert. However, I didn't know that Idris (the bass playe) left and they play as a duo now, without a live bass.

  I'm fine with artificial drums; they use them on the recordings and it fits their cold style. But a whole backing track with drums (except for some snares played live on a drumpad) and bass? Sorry, no.

  If you listen to almost any of their recordings, the bass is the main driving instrument and very present in the mix. In the concert it was the other way around.

  Considering that both supporting acts (KaelanMikla and Selofan) had live bass players, the difference was very noticeable.

  At one point, She Past Away even started with the wrong backing track and had to cut it off. It kind of ruined the feeling of being at a live concert. Also, the light show was boring.

  One positive thing: The guitarist/singer performed as good as I had expected and the setlist was fine and included even some new & unreleased songs.

  'Bi Nuu', the venue in Berlin was sold out and it was very hard to get enough space to just dance a little bit. People were pushing themselves to the front rows during the concert, so everyone else was slowly pushed back. It was very apparent that people behind me did not want me to move in their direction and one guy even hit me in the back.

  TL;DR:

  Love the band, did not enjoy the concert.

  Avoid the gigs until they get a live bassist.

• It was amazing! The star theatre is a beautiful venue one of the older historical buildings in Portland with velvet theatre curtains and all . The opening group was local Portland xilbing, a couple of gorgeous high energy humans that rocked I can’t say enough good thing about them I was very impressed. , another band after that physicalwash,also a native porlandian . Also great ! Then the main attraction ! She past away ! Was awesome they played all my favorites and then some . We got to meet the key board player up close and personal. He’s is a really cool sweet person and we really loved his energy . Going back again tonight to a sold out show ! So excited!!! I highly recommend this band if you get the opportunity to see em go ! If you can’t make it check em out on line , you won’t be disappointed.

• I've found the show very amazing, I found myself always dancing. The place is good for this kind of concerts, She Past Away are great, they have good dark-standing on stage and I love their fusion of traditional dark and electronic.

• Ein wirklich tolles Konzert. Man hatte das Gefühl wieder in den 80ern zu sein. Auch die 2 Vorbands haben mich absolut überzeugt. Beim nächsten Auftritt bin ich definitiv wieder dabei. Danke an "she past away".
