  More like a ritual than a gig. The Guardian have dubbed Eyedress' sound as "ghostly witch-house"and I don't think they are far wrong. 23 year old Filipino Idris Vicuna's live show was like nothing I had ever witnessed before. Walking into Nottingham's Bodega Social Club not knowing at all what to expect, the "show" which followed, proved to be disturbing and haunting in equal measure. It was one of those "I cant look away" kind of shows during a mini run of rare UK appearences, which on this occasion were poorly promoted. The minimal crowd of four people including myself and a friend made up the audience. That alone made for a more than intimate performance, but Vicuna seemed unphased by the barely there crowd. Eyedress, along with his DJ, provided doom-hop beats, matched with an almost demonic vocal performance throughout the set. The live show showcased Eyedress' almost female vocal range, while he paced across the front of the stage. E.P single 'Nature Trips' which I had heard played on Made In Chelsea, made for the highlight of the set. And irrespective of the lack of an audience, Eyedress still gave 110% - putting his all into the satanic mix of hip-hop and forward thinking electronica. He performed at Pukkelpop the other week to a much larger crowd so it was just a case of poor promotion on this occasion. So if Eyedress is ever playing a show near you, don't miss it, it's like nothing you'll have ever seen before!
