  The French based DJ, Brodinski, has quickly escalated into recognition in the electronic music scene for his adept skills in mixing beats and getting people to move on the dance floor.

  Brodinski often focuses on rhythm as opposed to melody and has unique approaches to switching up rhythmic patterns throughout his music. His music also has a dark and eerie characteristic to it. Some of the sounds he produces are as aggressive and gritty as something that Nine Inch Nails might produce. Brodinski is also highly interested in vocal manipulation and his experiments with this are quite intriguing to see live. He takes vocal samples and loops them while changing the pitch of the voice to get unique effects. Brodinski is also very skilled at layering music, which involves him laying down a foundational track and continually adding diverse tracks over one another. Brodinski usually plays in club settings where you will find him behind a table with all of his mixing boards and turntables. He gets highly involved with his music, bobbing his head back and forth to the beat, and dancing to the music. The audience treats his performance as if it were a huge rave, dancing all over the place in synchronization to the music. The club is usually dimly lit and has an eerie ambience to it, as well as having strobe lights flash across stage during more intense parts of the performance.

  Not only has Brodinski’s music captivated his audiences, but many notable musicians are starting to recognize Brodinski’s talent and are asking him to collaborate with them. Most recently Brodinski was asked to contribute to Kanye West’s critically praised Yezus album. • French producer and DJ Louis Rogé may have a stage name that has connotations with classical music yet what he creates could not be further from this. Often cited to play dirty tracks in a clean set, his reputation has been growing globally as he identifies himself as one of the most exciting new artists to emerge in the world of techno.

  With a minimalistic approach to dance music, it is not a particularly euphoric set yet it does not need to be as Louis makes the ground vibrate with his deep bass lines before dropping complex techno beats that you cannot resist moving along to. After starting to show an interest in dance music whilst in his teens, it feels as though Brodinski could not be anymore elated to finally be behind the decks and exciting crowds of people. He works incredibly hard on his recorded outputs and on his live mixing and performance so it would seem the success has been very well earned and the huge cheers are equally earned.
