  You know an electronic artist is good when you can’t help but dance when you hear a song, and that’s exactly the case with Monarchy. The London based duo consisting of Andrew Armstrong and Ra Black make the kind of music that you find yourself having a dance party to, even if you are by yourself. It becomes even better when you see one of their live shows. Their shows are amazing because of the stage production that goes into it. It’s not necessarily elaborate; in fact it is fairly simple compared to a lot of other electronic pop duos. But, they keep the lights down and ever moving, have these amazing half covering face masks on, and utilize much more live instrumentation than with just the two of them. For their live shows, there is normally a full band, with a vocalist, guitarist, synth player and a drummer, which lends to a much more epic sound than if you were just to have pre-recorded tracks. Everyone, and I mean everyone is dancing from the moment they start playing up to the very last note of the song. And the best part about it is that they are enjoying the show just as much as everyone else is (if not more) with them moving around the entirety of the stage.

• One of the best new bands. Amazing vocals by the lead songer, great fusion of styles, varying from electronic to rock and a killer playlist. I absolutely loved "Dancing in the Corner"; "Disintegration" and unique covers of Lana Del Ray's "Video Games" and Nirvana. Would definitely go again.
