Sweden may be one of the relaxed and happiest places on earth, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t rock out as hard as they can. Oskar “Ozo” Cedermalm, Niklas “Dango” Kallgren and Axel “Enzo” Larsson decided to come together to form Truckfighters and do just that.
Long hair, shirtless and ax in hand, Dango takes the stage first to melt off your face with his guitar, then yells at you to get pumped and ready. Then enters Enzo, who takes his place behind his drum set to continue the welcomed bombardment of sounds on your ears. Lastly Ozo enters with his bass and you are fully surrounded by the rock sounds of Truckfighters. It is overwhelming but awesome all at the same time. Even though Ozo is listed as a vocalist, most of their set is them rocking out on stage, letting the music completely take over instead. They get the crowd to engage, cupping their hands to their ears to encourage the cheers and noise even more. Outside of speaking to them to get their interaction, the band doesn’t speak between songs, aside from the “thank you vey much for coming, we’ve been Truckfighters” at the end of their show.
Truckfighters play an amazing show, full of energy! I saw them live for the 3rd time, this time at SO36 (Berlin) and they did not disappoint. Dango kept jumping and dancing throughout the whole concert without missing a note and Ozo was great keeping it all together. The band has a new drummer who also gave a powerful performance - I am left with the impression of him constantly hitting that ride/crash for the whole encore haha. After the first "old" song, the audience actively joined the party, dancing until the end of the show. The new songs have some progression with slower/harder parts, which gave some nice dynamics to the concert. In the end though, it's all about the fuzzy tones, the groove and the great riffs!
I saw Truckfighters on the 14th of November at the O2 academy at Islington and it was one of my favourite performances I have been to for a while. The sound that they were unleashing on the audience was epic to say the least. The musicianship and stagemanship that they have is really quite engaging. I would recommend anyone to go to a concert by Truckfighters because it was just a fun evening. I wish I could experience the night all over again but in a reality where I put my coat in the cloakroom :D
we showed up, we rawked, we got drunk, we rawked, we drafted warriors for future pillage missions, we headbanged, we partied, we watched the guitarist go crazy on stage, we got stoned, we moshed, we absorbed huge amounts of bass, and we left with an overwhelming sense of satisfaction that we had touched on some innate sense of deeper meaning and primal strength to keep everyone going strong.
Truckfighters delivers a great show full of energy, crowd engagement and authenticity. They played some newer songs as well as their best-known song "Desert Cruiser" from album Gravity X. If you're into desert and stoner rock, this band will not disappoint you. Highly recommended.
I feel like a better more complete person after seeing Truckfighters. The sounds that they produce took me and my soul to a whole new dimension and it was good. In short they really friggin rock. High energy and bitchin tunes.
Always enjoy seeing the Truckfighters live. The guitar player Niklas Kallgren aka Dango always brings lots of great energy to a show. Lead vocals and bass player Oskar Cedermalm aka Ozo also is always spot on.
Fantastic show as always with theses guys, good to see bands give 110% every night. music was on point, overall awesome show, guy stuck around to sign items.Even singed my arm for a tattoo the next day.
Truckfighters are amazing and the roxy was a great place to see them. I was right up front and had a blast! I will see them again. Thanks song kick for the updates
