After listening to many collaborations from my favourite artists, I saw the name Tory Lanez cropping up time and time again, so I thought I should check out his music. I was expecting it to be awesome because he’s worked with some of my favourite artists suck as Sean Kingston, and Noah Breakfast, and it totally was. His singer/songwriter music fused with hip hop and rap creates an incredibly individual sound, and he has super catchy tracks.
He opened the show by running out onto the stage to the sound of his DJ scratching the decks shouting welcome and good evening to everyone. The venue was pretty small, so he had everyone dancing along straight away. He launched right into Anyway, his first 2014 single, and everyone was totally loving the track. He’s a phenomenal vocalist, and his live performance was absolutely spot on.
About half way through the show, he played Anyway, and pulled up 3 girls onto the stage and got them to sing the chorus of the song with him. It was great to see Lanez involve his audience in the show like that, and really made us appreciate how grateful he is of his fans.
Great performance! Had a great time. Unfortunately the VIP package was B.S.
We were supposed to receive early access to the club at 6p.m. - instead we ended up sitting in the rain for an hour, and received access to the club along with regular admission.
We did not receive any of the things promised in the VIP package other than just a cell phone quality photograph with Tory.
We were originally promised a VIP merchandise item, as well as a bag, and a copy of Tory's album.
We did not receive ANY of that, and the venue was of no help what so ever.
Great performance, but very disappointed with the "VIP" package. If I would have known this ahead of time, I would have just purchased the regular admission ticket rather than wasting $200.
You've been warned! Don't purchase the VIP.
Tory Lanez is a bomb ass performer. He gets the crowd hype and really engages them; how-the-fuck-ever, the concert started at 7p, I got there at a little after 7:30p and the first OPENER didn't even go on until 8p. This niggah didn't hit the stage until ten. I had my son with me and we were so tired and over it we left before his set was over. I thought maybe that was my bad, that all concerts are like that, but a few weeks later I went to the Chance, DRAM and MEtro Boomin concerts, got there 45m late and missed DRAM's act altogether. Plus, dude was walking on the crowd and shit. Had me bent backwards if he thought Ima let his big ass Timbaland boots walk on my Niner Bomber Jacket.
Me and my friend both got tickets to the see Tory Lanez at Status Night Club in Moreno Valley and when we got there the security told us that our tickets didn't work. We got our tickets from what I thought was a legit website for tickets, on Flavorus.com. Either the club is super shady or the website is shady, either way one of them is a scam and I want to get my money back.. the night was just off, wish we got to see him but it didn't even seem like Tory Lanez was going to go, so we just left because we weren't allowed in anyway.
It was a fun show to be at, he does try to get fans as hype as possible and he hit some really incredible vocals that sound a lot better than they do in tracks but the only thing that was off was that he would try to crowd surf too much. Some people would be carrying him and he'd be trying to jump while they were holding him, a girl even lost a chunk of hair that got stuck to his jeans from trying to move too much on top of her. All in all it is up to the fans of what they want to do with their experience.
Tory Lanez performance was good but i am annoyed about the fact that he started at 9 and finished at 10:30. I was outside, waiting since 4:00 just to watch a performance that lasted for an 1hr30mins! That is ridiculous and i am quite angry about that.
A Performer came on at about 8:45 that no one knew and it wasted a lot of time.
Overall, Tory Lanez performance was good but i am very upset about the timings and how short the concert was after a very long wait.
Wow where do I start. I am an Indian exchange student, currently in Paris. Firstly, it was the first concert I've ever been to and I'm sure the other ones aren't as amazing. I mean the energy was electrifying. Tory Lanez is a champion performer. You'll get your money's worth I promise you. It might just be the best concert you've ever been to. So trust me, watch a Tory Lanez concert before you die. It's worth a memory and memories don't die. Jai Hind!
Tory lanez is a crazy dude and in a good way. I was in a show with him and adapter Ferg and not only did he go crowdsurfing for a good 20 minutes (performing most of his music while being held up by us) but he pulled a crazy stunt where he climbed up a 20 foot balcony from the hands of the crowd. I'm definitely going back to a lanez show next time he's in the Bay Area.
Good thing I've got them tickets as a gift. Unfortunately it seemed like a big party for Tory, with him stepping on people's heads, telling us to sing the lyrics, using playback most of the time, starting 90 min after the actual beginning and leaving after 40mins of performance. Not worth the 32 Euros. I've seen better shows for less (Anderson .Paak, BJJ, etc.)
