George Clinton is a musical legend. Singer, songwriter and music producer, he was the principle character of P-Funk: a group of performers responsible for revolutionising funk music.
Clinton began his career as the mastermind behind the bands Parliament and Funkadelic before launching in to a startlingly brilliant solo career. He is often cited as being one of the forefathers of funk music. In the 70s he belonged to an esteemed group, the P-Funk, which comprised a selection of funk music innovators. In 1997, he and 15 of his P-Funk members were allocated in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a great honour indeed.
Born in North Carolina in the USA but growing up in New Jersey, Clinton was musical from a young age and tried to break into the industry early. P-Funk was his big break, earning him and his bandmates three number one singles and three platinum albums as well as countless more songs (about 40 of which became hits). As a producer, Clinton has worked with performers such as The Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Clinton emerged as a soloist in 1982. Some of his most notable hits include ‘Loopzilla’, ‘Do Fries Go With That Shake?’ and ‘Atomic Dog’ which reached the number one spot on the R&B charts. After a slight dip in notoriety in the late 80s, Clinton’s popularity was resurrected in the 90s when many artists, particularly rappers, began to cite him as musical inspiration.

George Clinton has been doing his thing for many years, and in my opinion has stayed true to his style and attitude refusing to change for anyone. That's one of the things I love the most about the show, its just plain fun! The crowd at a George Clinton show is such a varied mix of people from all generations and backgrounds as George has managed to cross over to so many generations and types of people.
I will advise that for most of his outdoor shows, there is quite a lot of marijuana smoking happening, so if this is a concern for you, you may want to take that into consideration. There's nothing negative that comes from it, but it is around...
The stage show is just so much fun to watch, and seeing what type of crazy outfit George, as well as his band will be wearing each show is a lot of fun!
Most of the George Clinton shows Ive been to have lasted up to 2 hours, as he has such a large catalog of music, and also tends to extend the length of many songs during the show. The light show is almost as trippy as the music, and the stage props add a lot to the show as well, making it just one really fun concert to experience!!
Alas, an era has not quite yet departed from Us ... . George Clinton a.ka. Dr. Funkenstein, at age 76, is still on stage performing! George Clinton and the "3rd Generation" Parliament-Funkadelic (PF) gave a memorable performance at the HOWARD UNIVERSITY THEARTER, Thursday night, February 15th ... I can still remember when PF opened for "The Jackson 5", in 1970, at the HAMPTON COLISEUM, in Hampton, VA, I was seven (7) years old, attending the concert with My father.
George Clinton's opening act, was also outstanding, but played a little longer than most opening acts which did not allow time ALL of PF's hits, i.e. "Bop Gun", "Aqua Boogie", and most of all, "Atomic Dog"; however, this concert brought back a lot of GOOD memories.

Brill time had by all, non stop music from start to finish, Dj set started as you went in the door at 19:00 and blended into George Clinton's set, non stop till 23:15 music ran over the usual curfew of 23:00, WHAT A NIGHT ON THE FUNKADELIC MOTHER SHIP with George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic At The O2 Academy Birmingham
Every time I see George and P-funk I can’t wait to go see him again! He looked and sounded great, and last night in SanFrancisco was epic!!! The man seems to only get better with age and of course the band was in the pocket and hot!!
Had a great time really enjoyed the show The Venue was great security was great recommend a show to everyone.Saw a lot of friends hadn't seen in years. I will definitely see the next Parliament Funkadelic concert
Had a great time at the George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic concert last night. The concert venue was great the security was great looking forward to seeing them again when they come back to this area.
I have seen him twice now in the last year. I will not see him again. The longgggggggg drawn out solos, are getting old.People were leaving, including us. It ruins the show..
It was a great show! George Clinton never disappoints! I would have loved for them to have been a different venue with a larger stage but other than that, no complaints.
So worth it and I'm glad I can hear classics for being how young I am and I wish people my generation the music that layed the foundation the music we have today
Of course Geogre got us all Funked Up. Loved the show!! Full of energy and love.. Have seen him many times and it's always a Great Time and Great Show
