  After trying out various musical styles and playing with multiple bands over the course of his early years, Chris Bathgate finally saw the light and started producing his own indie-folk music. Thank goodness he didn’t stick with heavy metal; Chris’s voice and song-writing abilities glisten within the folk genre.

  On stage, Chris is the epitome of chill and his band backs up this atmosphere. Songs like ‘Serpentine’, ‘Eliza’ and ‘Borders’ were written to be performed live. These songs always shine in his concerts as Chris’s voice gives them new life in the way only live gigs can.

  Chris has a pretty big following in the Michigan folk music scene, but even outside of this he has a solid set of fans who will show up religiously to his shows, knowing that this guy will give a solid performance every time. At a Chris Bathgate show expect songs that come from the heart, gorgeously chill vocals, and delicate melodies, which only bolster Chris’s voice more. More than anything, though, you should expect to have a great time.
