• Thunder

  Thunder are a hard rocking band roaring out from London, enjoying over twenty years of success. Whilst they have seen lineup changes over the years, they have still maintained their powerful, heavy sound. They have also laid down their instruments on a couple of occasions, but have returned, unable to stay away from the joy of playing their unfettered, riotous music that has an arena-filling sound. Calling Festival in London, 2014, was the perfect setting for Thunder to again re-establish their rock credentials, proving to doubters that they can still rock harder than most. Despite the time spent apart and with the members now well into their 50s, the band proved they still had plenty of energy to give a riveting performance. "Love Walked In" was a powerful, heavy ballad with a strong vocal performance. "Higher Ground" was a romping track that built up into a crunchy, bluesy monster that inspired a mass clap-along by the audience. They may be grey but they still have talent and virility with aplomb, with the band being as tight as ever, locking in to the heavy grooves with a real sense of connection between the members. For hard-rocking, you should look no further than Thunder to lay down the law.

• No one does live rock like Thunder. Everyone has fun onstage and especially the audience. Singer Danny Bowes engages with the audience with humour between songs before releasing his amazing voice on some old, classic Thunder tracks and plenty off the new album which has been incredibly well received. His "Dad dancing at a wedding" moves onstage still amuse and set him apart from other front men but makes him (and Thunder) so lovable. The rapport between band mates comes across very well. Despite previous farewell tours and line up changes, they all look like they love each other and they love their jobs. Songs of the calibre of Love Walks In, She's So Fine etc from their debut album still sound fresh and with a good mix of songs from their long (if interrupted) career made for an amazing night of good time rock n roll.

  Support band Cats In Space were very well received too and set the tone for an excellent night.

• Absolutely brilliant night Danny's voice just fantastic as always Luke and Ben fantastic guitaring and of course mad man Harry on drums

  Terrovision were great too gud to hear sum of their dies like oblivion

• The event was cancelled. Absolutely gutted as I was really looking forward to this one. Hopefully they can rearrange this event.

  Looking forward to seeing them next month at The Sage but still want to see their unplugged session.

• Absolutely awesome

  We were lucky enough to have vip tickets so that included meet and greet, sound check, group photo with the band.

  We got to chat to each member of the band and able to have photos and got memorabilia signed

• ((szene)) Wien 28/01/18 ..... Thunder never fail to put on a great show, venue was small and intimate. Sound was excellent as usual. We had a blast and traveled back home to Hungary after the show.

• Had a fantastic night band were amazing would go & see them again anytime the venue was great the lighting was brilliant had a few drinks & bought a t/shirt all round a brilliant time

• An awesome performance from the opener of Wonder Days to finish of Dirty Love it was a good mix of old and new material . .... They just keep getting better ....
